Welcome to Stilson! Our house is located on a quiet street, close to town. Enjoy our screened in porch for a morning coffee, or early evening aperitif. Or, do yoga on our third floor balcony off the mater suite. You'll be 2 minutes from the bike path, ice cream and pizza shops; 7 minutes from Look Park; 10 minutes from fresh water river swimming, and 12 minutes from a beautiful hiking trail with panoramic views. The space Our house is located in a quiet neighborhood on a dead-end street. Built in the early 1900's our farmhouse has a traditional feel with modern features; such as a renovated kitchen, redone hardwood floors, updated heating system, and new bathrooms. In fact there are four porches off the South, East, and West sides of the house! There are plenty of windows which create a bright atmosphere with a lot of air circulation. Do you play music? There is a piano on the first floor in the " music" room, and a gas fired stove in the family room. The bedrooms are quite large. Three bedrooms are equipped with queen sized mattresses and the fourth houses a King sized bed. There is a full bathroom on each floor. The bike path is less than 2 blocks away providing you with hundreds of miles of trail converted from old railroad tracks. Look Park, one mile away is a magnificent park complete with a water park, small zoo, a children train, multiple playgrounds, picnic tables and barbecues situated near the river that run throughout through the park. In addition the natural beauty that surrounds us, there are dozens of highly rated restaurants and bars in Northampton and Florence as well as the surrounding area. Treehouse Brewery just opened another location up the road, and the Wine Witch just recently opened downtown. The Pioneer Valley is known for hosting a multitude cultural events. From the Frog Ballet, and apple picking in the fall, to skiing and snowshoeing in the winter, bike tours, professional dance events and first rate concerts all year round. The five colleges; Hampshire, Amherst, Mt. Holyoke, Umass and Smith Colleges, are big contributors to the cultural atmosphere of the area. There are always plenty of events to chose from.
