1890's Carriage House. Bright 850 sq. ft., 2nd flr. studio. Original wood flrs, 12' ceiling, skylights, modern amenities w/ rustic charm. Onsite parking. Two sleeping nooks: One QUEEN, One FULL bed & a leather couch; open floor plan. Shower, laundry, full kitchen, dining table, lounging area, Juliet balconey. Eclectic, spacious, private, quiet, all in a fantastic location. This is a large studio. Staircase to 2nd floor. No TV. Dog friendly; contact me first. Non-Smoking/vaping. The space The Carriage House is located about a 5 minute walk to the heart of Northampton. The studio is spacious, light filled, unique, charming and eclectic. Walk to cafes, shops, restaurants, public transportation, Smith College, etc. You will have off street onsite parking. (parking is tough in Northampton) There are 2 sleeping nooks (to the left and the right of the Balconey door) with 12" memory foam beds - one is a queen the other a full sized - (super comfortable) and a large leather couch. The private entrance and 16 steps bring you up to the studio. The kitchen has a gas stove, microwave, full size refrigerator, electric tea kettle, french press coffee pot, and a large sink. There are pots, pans, plates and utensils for cooking and dining. Coffee and a selection of tea is provided. There is a bathroom with a new tiled shower. Off the bath you will find a closet to hang your clothes and a stackable washer-dryer unit. A mini split heat and air conditioning system was installed in January of 2024. This is a large studio. No bedrooms but rather 2 sleeping nooks on the same floor. There is a loft above the kitchen that is not accessible to guests or anyone else. (there is nothing in the loft) The Carriage House is private and quiet. There is virtually no pedestrian or traffic noise. NO BURNING of CANDLES or INCENSE, SMOKING or VAPING in or near the studio. Dog friendly please msg. me about your pet. WINTER & SNOW. Snow comes at all hours. I do have the driveway plowed and walkways shoveled. You may be asked to move your car so the driveway can be cleared. Walkways may not always be cleared of snow due snow falling at all hours and coordination on getting them cleared does not always line up perfectly for your arrival and coming/goings; especially during a snow storm! So, I ask for your patience, cooperation and understanding. Guest access No shared space. Guests will have their own entrance and use of the entire 2nd floor studio. You'll have your own: kitchen, bathroom, laundry, sleeping nooks, Juliette balconey, living space and more. The loft area is for storage only and not part of the rental. Self check-in with your own personalized code. Check-in starts at 4 pm. Off street/onsite parking for 1-2 cars. There is also convenient and free street parking. Other things to note Check-in starts at 4 pm. There is a wide straight staircase to access the second floor. Guests are asked to remove their shoes we want to keep the floor clean for you, and QUIET for any quests on the first floor. Shoes on a wood floor can be loud to the guest(s) below. Please bring your favorite slippers - "grippy" is good; the floors are wood. PLEASE DO NOT LIGHT or BURN CANDLES OR INCENSE, NO SMOKING or VAPING in the Studio or on the Balconey. Please be mindful of the guests on the first floor - heavy walking, jumping, or keeping your shoes on can be very loud to the guests on the first floor. WINTER & SNOW. Snow comes at all hours.
