Le Sez Bon Temps Roule!!! (Let The Good Times Roll) Guest have complete access of the entire unit & half of the front porch & backyard. (Guest must request, in writing, authorization to use the entire front porch and backyard in advance from management.) I am usually available during the week if needed. I'm often out of town on the weekend for business but I can usually be reached by mobile phone if cell towers are available. (In the event that it is known that I will not be available or accessible, I will arrange a point of contact for the convenience of the guest in case of emergencies.) See the Guidebook for recommended local favorites, including parks, restaurants & nightlife. There are 2 Regional Transit Authority (RTA) Bus Routes in this area. The "Broad St" line & the "St. Bernard". The Broad St. bus stop is located on the corner of N. Broad St. & Lapyrouse St. (The unit is located on N. Dorgenois St. between Lapyrouse & Laharpe, approximately 2.5 blocks from this bus stop.) The St. Bernard bus stop is located on the corner of St. Bernard & N. Dorgenois St. The unit is located approximately 6 blocks South on N. Dorgenois St. (Both buses intersect at the corner of N. Broad & St. Bernard and you can catch, connect or transfer to or from either bus at this location.) Contact the New Orleans RTA (NORTA) online at http://www.norta.com for maps, schedules, fares & prices. This is a double (duplex) shotgun house (a popular architectural design of New Orleans homes in the 19th and 20th century) located in the register historic (Esplanade Ridge) district. The original doors were not available when the unit was restored prior to purchase in 2003. Consequently, new doors have been erected between the 2 bedrooms, and the kitchen and first bedroom. On street parking only. Parking is on a first come first serve basis. There are no designated parking spots on the public street except for where legally designated restricted city ordinance signs are posted. I am a disabled veteran and there is a Handicap Park sign erroneously placed in front of the unit by the city in front of the short term rental, 1563, unit. (Handicap Park sign is for the 1561 residential unit.) Private driveways and the public area from the city sidewalk to the street curb are restricted and should not be obstructed or parked in/on.
