Even though we are near the beach, this is a quiet residential neighborhood of small lots and close neighbors, so we ask our renters to keep the noise down, particularly between 10 pm and 7am. This apartment is not a good fit for those who like to party and have lots of friends to visit. This is also a non-smoking property, smoking is not allowed anywhere on the property. The Kona airport is approximately 30-45 minutes from the house. Downtown Kailua Kona is 3.7 miles. Kahaluu beach park is 0.8 mile Magic Sands beach is 0.5 miles or 5 minute walk, and Keauhou Shopping Center is approximately 1.5 miles. A rental car is highly recommended for ease of transportation and sightseeing, the Island of Hawaii land area is 4028 square miles ( 10 430 KM2). However, we are only a few blocks from the public bus line and sightseeing trolley picks up along Ali'i Drive. The trolley is great way of transportation to go around Kailua, Kona. The Hele -On bus has great schedule that will take you around the Island great locations. Easy access to sightseeing. I have a list of places to visit, restaurants and grocery stores. Please ask when you book the place. There are two regional birds living in the front yard that will bring you music every morning. Their names are Emil and Emilia. Lola is a cat that was dumped as a kitten and like to hang out in the patio of this unit. Please do not let her in the unit. There is a $100 cleaning fee per stay and it will be collected thru Airbnb.
