Description
Your own private guest cottage on a 3 acre working avocado farm out of the heat and activity of Kona. We are at around 1,200 elevation but still only 12 minutes from all major grocery stores and restaurants. The space The cottage construction was completed in early July 2020 and there are many thoughtful touches and hand built furniture items that give the home a cozy farmhouse feel. The cottage is the second structure built on the 3.3 acre farm and is on a separate section of the land from the our primary residence. You will have your own separate driveway, separate parking, and won't be able to see or hear us from your little slice of paradise. From your kitchen you can hear and see chickens and will most likely be visited by a couple curious and friendly farm cats. Must love nature and animals! :) Guest access Guests will be allowed to walk the property freely. At any time you can go say hello to the chickens or take a peek at our garden. Other things to note This is a farm in Hawaii. Bugs will always be a part of life here. Although all the windows are screened and we spray regularly for pests, the odd insect might find it's way to you. We feel one with nature here - and we love it - but for some this might be uncomfortable. There are feral chickens that roam all of Hawaii freely and you will most definitely notice them on our farm. They are harmless but sometimes the odd rooster can be a bit loud. Our cats are also super friendly and go where they please - you might open the door to find them on the front porch. Must be comfortable with animals! As stated, this is a working farm and we are on the property harvesting avocados almost daily. You might see us on a different part of the property from time to time. Registration Details TA-156-535-6032-01
