Downstairs: - Eat in kitchen with restored tin ceilings, countertop peninsula, river stones backsplash, craftsman cabinets, classic electric range, toaster oven, Keurig coffee, cocoa, tea, a round table, and board games. - Double bed, desk, in converted living area. - Enclosed sitting porch gallery w/ coffee table, art books, and our own original paintings. Outside: - 4 car driveway. - Immense silver maple tree shades the house. - Permaculture: on site compost, hugelculture garden mounds growing wildflowers. - 12 young fruit trees (not yet bearing fruit): apple, pear, peach, pawpaw, and cherry. - Across the street from the river. We do our best to use green building, gardening, and cleaning materials to help do our bit for the environment. Entire space + amenities (excluding garage, basement, and unoccupied rear apartment) included. No one else will be at the property during your stay unless arrangements are made in advance or at your request. Staircase access to enter through the front door and the upstairs. "The neighborhood is great for an evening stroll or short walk to the grocery store and a few restaurants." This is a peaceful residential area. People drive slowly and walk with dogs and carriages. We are near the Commuter Rail train; 1 stop from Lowell and 5 stops from Boston. There is public access to the Concord River a short walk from our house and a boat launch opposite the nearby Middlesex Canal Museum. Shopping, restaurants, a park, and two churches round out the neighborhood. 35 minutes to Logan Airport, Boston, Salem. 20 minutes to Andover, Concord, Lexington, New Hampshire. 10 minutes to Lowell, Burlington. <1 mile to Commuter Rail, public park, churches, Middlesex Canal Museum, Market Basket, restaurants, CVS, Harley Davidson, and public boat launch. The house is old and creaky. Some "features": - The radiators "knock" when heating up. - Creaky floors and stairs. - The toilet seat tilts slightly to one side. - Cracks in ceiling above the stairs. - Some windows do not open. - Some mismatched/bare paint patches.
