Description

Waterfront home with kayaking , fishing , swimming, and crabbing from our private dock just 3 minutes/1.5 miles from Stone Harbor beaches. We are surrounded by the Wetlands with fantastic 360 degree views and abundant bird life. Full on water and sky! The house has lots of natural light, newly built 2nd floor with private deck, and a fully equipped kitchen. Ride one of our bikes to town for great restaurants, home made ice cream, and lots of activities. Nature lover's paradise! The space A nature lover's paradise. We are not ON the water...we are IN the water! The house is on pilings in the middle of Scotch Bonnet Creek - Part of the Wetlands and Back Bay Area in Stone Harbor. You are surrounded by osprey nests and a host of wading and shore birds. The house is cozy and spacious at the same time. Connecting you directly with the water wilderness that surrounds you. Plenty of outdoor space - fishing, crabbing, kayaking, bird watching, swimming...full on water and sky! A wonderful sanctuary yet only a mile and a half/3 minutes from the center of idyllic beach town Stone Harbor and all it has to offer: great restaurants, family-owned ice cream parlors and splendid beaches. 6 beach tags are provided for you and your group. Feel free to use our: single and double kayaks, his/her fishing rods, crab traps, outdoor grill, and 2 bikes to get around town. Start your day with a peaceful walk on the beach at secluded Stone Harbor Point just a short bike ride away. Body surf on the waves at Stone Harbor beaches. Come back for a relaxing meal on the deck - check your traps, maybe you have some fresh crabs ready to be steamed up and served... or throw a line out and catch a flounder. Spend the afternoon kayaking in the back bay waterways, or simply put your feet up on the deck, watch the tides come in and out and catch up on a good summer read. Whatever you do, make sure to it back for the amazing sunsets. The Wetlands Institute is just down the road and provides a wonderful introduction to the wildlife and ecosystem of the area. We're only a 20 minute drive from Cape May and all its Victorian charm. Enjoy the Cape May Brewery and its fabulous craft beers and a host of wineries that have been celebrated in the NY Times. Our place accommodates up to six and is ideal for those who want to unplug - No WiFi or TV signal but you can watch movies on the DVD. Due to the raised decks and proximity to the water, the house is not suitable for small children. Moreover, there is a spiral staircase leading from the first floor to the second floor that may be challenging for those with physical limitations. Minimum age required to rent the house is 30. Park on the side of the the road and walk in on the shared private boardwalk. Even though we are just a stone's throw from the road, you are completely surrounded by the natural world. We look forward to hosting you - Pura Vida! Guest access Whole house including a second floor deck and dockside dining facing the sunset. Front porch facing sunrise.
