The courtyard is a shared space between the suite and our main home. You’re welcome to enjoy the fountain, the pond, the shaded seating, or a quiet moment by the waterfall whenever you like. You may occasionally see us relaxing, tending the garden, or passing through on our way to a neighborhood walk. Inside the suite, everything is yours to use freely: the kitchen, dining area, sitting room, separate bedroom, and tiled bathroom. The lounge couch converts to a queen sleeper if you need extra room. There are also board games, fast WiFi, a smart TV, and in-suite laundry for your convenience. If you ever need something—local tips, an extra blanket, a kitchen item—we’re close by and happy to help while giving you plenty of space to enjoy your stay. Other things to note The Neighborhood: Your suite sits on St. Roch Avenue, one of the most charming and tree-lined streets in New Orleans. The neighborhood is a friendly mix of longtime locals, new artists, and young professionals who bring a relaxed rhythm to the area. It’s the kind of place where people say hello on their porch, gardens spill over fences, and everyday life feels a bit more colorful. A short stroll brings you to St. Roch Market, a community food hall offering a wide range of locally owned restaurants—perfect for sampling everything from coffee to oysters to international dishes. Along the way, you’ll pass classic New Orleans architecture, pastel homes, and pockets of local character that make the walk part of the experience. The French Quarter and Frenchmen Street are both within easy reach: about a 20-minute walk, a quick bus ride, or a 5-minute Uber depending on how you want to travel. Many guests enjoy walking there and taking a ride back after a night of music or dinner. Nearby buses and Blue Bikes make exploring the city simple and intuitive. It’s a pedestrian-friendly neighborhood with plenty to see, and you can step outside and be on your way to cafés, live music, neighborhood bars, or quiet morning walks under the oaks. Whether you’re here for food, history, music, or wandering, this is a beautiful and convenient place to begin. The bus stop is a couple blocks away and takes you to the French Quarter in about 8 minutes, an Uber will get you there in 5. The exact location: Right on St. Roch, near N. Villere St. (The Air BnB map is not an accurate representation of our location). Getting around from here is easy and flexible. Many guests choose to walk, enjoying the beautiful streets, historic homes, and the natural charm of the Marigny on the way to the French Quarter or Frenchmen Street. It’s about a 20-minute stroll if you don’t stop at any of the great spots along the way. If you prefer a quicker trip, buses run just a couple of blocks from the house and reach the French Quarter in about eight minutes. Blue Bikes, New Orleans’ bike-share program, are also nearby and great for exploring the city at your own pace. Uber and Lyft drivers usually arrive within minutes. Because we’re close to a corner, double-check that your app uses our exact address before hopping in. For safety and fair pricing, always book through the official apps or choose a marked taxi. If you’re driving, you’ll appreciate the FREE street parking on our block—often right in front of the house. It’s one of the perks of staying in our neighborhood. Whether you walk, ride, bike, or catch a quick ride share, you’ll find the city easy to navigate from here. Our suite is completely pet-free, but you may occasionally see our Sphynx cat, Harry Nudini, passing through the courtyard as he joins us for a walk, heads to the office, or accompanies us toward the French Quarter. He’s friendly, curious, and loves attention. If you’re interested, we’re always happy to share a photo of him or point you to his corner of social media under “Harry Nudini.” He never enters the guest space. New Orleans is a lively city with a lot to explore. As with any urban area, it’s best to stay aware of your surroundings and avoid walking alone late at night. Rideshares are affordable and widely available, and using the official Uber and Lyft apps ensures you’re getting a licensed ride. Just like the rest of New Orleans, our neighborhood has its share of local insects. To keep the suite comfortable, please keep food sealed and doors closed. Our home is professionally treated by a licensed exterminator on a regular schedule. Our calendar is always up to date, and we respond quickly to messages. If you need anything—directions, recommendations, help with transportation—feel free to reach out. We want your stay to feel easy, comfortable, and welcoming. The exterior of our home is monitored by security cameras for everyone’s safety. Your suite remains private, and we never enter your space without your permission. - As many insects are indigenous to our area – particularly ants, mosquitoes and Palmetto bugs – we recommend keeping all doors and windows closed and that you do not leave food on counters or tables. Our home is serviced for pests by a licensed professional exterminator on a regular basis. Because bugs and other critters are common in New Orleans we make every effort possible to eliminate the occurrence of pests in our home. Registration Details 23-NSTR-17243, 24-OSTR-03432
