Come cozy up in our renovated 1st floor apartment. Located in Historic Uptown neighborhood steps from Palmer Park, and streetcar line. We are walking distance from both a grocery store and pharmacy with a veritable wealth of restaurants at your fingertips. The space Our downstairs apartment is located in a beautiful 115 year old home. The space has a large living room with luxurious wrap around sofa and 50" plasma tv. Quaint kitchen is perfect for small meals and our apartment also boasts a spa bathroom. There are 2 bedrooms with a queen bed in one room and two twin beds in another. If you are traveling with children or friends that don't mind, the large wrap around couch can sleep 2 people and we ALSO have a generous air mattress for someone--- this would bring the capacity to 7 people! Laundry is also included. We've nicknamed our space "the shire" due to its rather low clearance---6'2"! Basketball players need not apply! My husband is a retired police officer and I am an art teacher and professional artist. We'd love to host those wishing to explore our beautiful city! Laissez le bon temps rouller---let the good times roll! Guest access Guests have entire 1st floor with its own, private entrance at their disposal. We ask that backyard be off limits for our pets---laundry will be shared, but at a minimum during your visit. We respect your privacy and want you to feel as "at home" as possible. Other things to note Our home is minutes away from Audubon Park, Audubon Zoo, Tulane and Loyola Universities. The streetcar can take you to the National WWII Museum, Julia Street art galleries and the Aquarium of the Americas. We are also walking distance from Oak Street which hosts quaint cafés, restaurants, bakeries and more. Keep in mind ALL the special festivals that New Orleans hosts--- French Quarter Fest, Jazz Fest, Essence Festival and Decadence! Our home is a perfect location to be where the action is in minutes, yet quiet, peaceful and serene after a fun filled day!
