Long term 1 guest only. National Register craftsman bungalow is walking distance to downtown, its walking/jogging paths along the Mississippi and Capitol Lakes, the State Capitol No pets, NO SMOKERS/, VAPERS. The space When Spain ruled Louisiana, they needed a neighborhood to defend the nearby fort on the Mississippi River, a few blocks away. So they shot a few canon balls from the river and determined Spanish Town would be built right past where the balls landed. While most of the original structures were burnt down during the Civil War, a few homes remain today and the neighborhood has a remarkable look and feel. The Sachse House sits on property that at one time was owned by the Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church, a church free slaves owned until they sold and moved to Eddie Robinson Drive. With the Capitol Lakes a short walk down a hill, its easy to get some exercise on the walking paths that circle the Lakes or go see Brian the resident white pelican. For safe outdoor dining with large tables spread far apart, book a reservation at Cocha and stroll over to Cocha at 445 North 6th Street. Guest access The Sachse House (circa 1919) is a duplex with its own private entrance. Guests have that entire space to themselves. Not only that there is a 9,000 sq ft side yard with a privacy fence, fire pit gas grill and rocking chairs. Other things to note No pets allowed, at any time, under any circumstances. No smokers allowed, no vaping. No "recently quit" smokers. This is not negotiable.
