Steamship Authority requires vehicle reservations with standby options off-season and on a limited basis in-season. Car rentals are available on-island. Chappy is residential only and a car is highly recommended. The Chappy ferry to get to our home runs continuously from 6:30 am to 12:00 am in-season (last run 11:00 pm off-season) and does not require reservations. Katama Bay is short 500 feet walk to the end of road for swimming, clamming, fishing and boating, and the entry to Wasque Reservation is at the top of road, known for it's extensive network of nature trails, bird watching, fishing and beach-going.
