This beautiful 2-bedroom house in the woods is a perfect space for quiet retreat and time in nature, or a romantic getaway for a couple. It has a 2-person jacuzzi tub, and there are lovely hiking trails in the area. This beautiful house in the woods has a full kitchen, large living room with cathedral ceilings, 2 bedrooms with a view of the woods (1 with a screened-in porch), and a bathroom with a skylight, stand-up shower and 2-person jacuzzi tub. The living room has a fireplace with a wood stove. The kitchen is furnished with dishes, pots etc. There is an outdoor fire pit as well as a small outdoor charcoal grill that guests may use. There is the option to use this as a retreat space during a guided retreat through Starseed Healing Sanctuary. They are available if you have any questions during your stay. There is a wooded trail and 4 beaver ponds on the property. There are many beautiful places to hike nearby in the Savoy State Forest including gorgeous waterfalls at Tannery Falls. This house is located across the street from Starseed Healing Sanctuary www.starseedsanctuary.org When there are not programs going on at Starseed, visitors are welcome to walk the land and visit the various sanctuaries on the land including a peace labyrinth. This is a remote location and requires a personal vehicle to get to. The closest grocery and/or restaurants are a 20-40 minute drive away depending on what you are looking for. Please also note that Blackbrook Road between Route 2 and the tiny house is CLOSED and you must arrive and depart via Route 116. If you are traveling via Route 2, the detour adds approximately 10-20 minutes of travel time depending on your route. This house is heated solely by wood stove. In the winter months you must have a working knowledge of wood stoves to stay here. Wood is provided. The nearest grocery store is a 25-minute drive away, so guests may want to arrive with food for the duration of their stay. Cell phone service is spotty at best.
