Please send me a note!* THE SPACE Welcome to "Bewitching Salem Suite" Your temporary "home away from home" is a charming, historic 3-story townhome, built circa 1897. Fabulous location just off Salem Common, bordering the historic district, 3 houses up from a small neighborhood beach & walking path & a short stroll to everything that makes Salem fun. Cozy, clean and bright w/21 (!) windows and all wood floors. I like to think it's got a "homey" vibe while still being fresh & uncluttered. I'm a frustrated interior designer at heart (my not-so-secret dream is to have my own HGTV show) and had a lot of fun furnishing the home with repurposed antiques and other fun pieces to create a welcoming & comfortable guest suite. THE LAYOUT: 1st FLOOR (shared space when owner is in town): LR/ Kitchen 2nd FLOOR: Large Bath w/Tub (shared), Owner's Bedroom 3rd FLOOR: Your guest space is on its own floor, which makes it very private. As you climb up the stairs to the 3rd floor, you'll enter directly into a little bedroom I like to call "The Library" (no door at the top of stairs.) This is one of my favorite spots in the house: a cozy mahogany daybed under two windows that overlook historic Salem rooftops- the perfect spot to curl up with a cup of tea and a good book. From this room, there are french doors leading into the spacious adjoining master with an extremely comfortable queen-sized aerobed bed (mattress w/adjustable firmness) 3" therapedic topper & high-quality linens) a large executive desk with excellent WIFI, romantic faux fireplace w/remote, & 6 windows (one w/a peek of the water.) The space you will be occupying is technically ONE bedroom (but is divided into 2 adjoining rooms - each of which has a bed in it) . Feel free to reach out with any questions! :) ------- Guest access This is a true home away from home, and you will have access to everything with the exception of owner's room. Your suite is on the 3rd floor. The 2nd floor bath and 1st floor common areas are shared with your hostess. You will have a dedicated private medicine cabinet and large storage cabinet for your toiletries in the bathroom. Full kitchen use with all pots/pans/supplies provided (please avoid bringing products containing pork or shellfish into the house.) Plenty of easy, free street parking available. During your stay I truly enjoy hosting. Happy to socialize or to give you your space- your choice. Other things to note Since this is a longer-term situation and I reside in the home, some communication is required to establish compatibility before booking. References as well as a copy of your Driver's License may be requested and depending on length of stay, you may be asked to sign a rental agreement. Guests are welcome to watch the large flat screen TV in the living room (I have a Roku player w/tons of free programming & movies) or stream from your own laptop upstairs (there is no tv on the 3rd floor). Your space is quite private as it's on its own floor. There is no door from the 3rd floor landing into the small bedroom. French doors separate the small bedroom into the large master. THIS IS A NON-SMOKING PROPERTY (no smoking inside the home OR anywhere on the premises please).
