Nestled in the heart of Columbia falls, Avocado Abode is your ticket to relaxation! Once you arrive to the fully remodeled inside & out 1929 two story home, you'll find your experience is wonderful whether enjoying the local outdoors or choose to stay inside! Whitefish 7mi, Glacier National Park or Kalispell 18mi, or Flathead Lake 26mi! All new furnishings throughout, with heated detached shop! When you book with us, you speak to us! We don't contract communication out! We reply promptly! :-) The Avocado Abode will be a unique, and wonderful Montana experience! Seeing its old restored charm from1926, and its freshly milled and cut custom wood working that you see on the front eves of the house and the shop which came from Eureka, Montana! Over 125k dollars was spent inside and out, making the home interior, exterior, all new wiring, paint, flooring, rock work, and brand new master bath suite addition, a success! The house and shop share the same new windows, paint, trim, woodwork, stain, and custom rock base wall. We did not want to offer used outdated items in our premier listing. RV available parking on property on both sides of the house. We wanted to make the house a popular attraction from its charm, its new furnishings, a secure place to store your trailer, dirtbikes, side by side, fishing boat, PWC's, and maybe even your hunting gear. We built a work shop bench so that if you're here and need a place to perform a fix or maintenance, that's an availability as well! On the west side of the property we offer a gravel parking lot with room for a 24' trailer. We also have set the house up so that if you're travelling to get away from the busy city and want to soak up Montana vibes, you'll be perfectly happy in the house without leaving! Our remodeled quirky quaint home was finished in February of 2022! We have a long driveway that leads to the shop, and the main entrance, which is on the east side of the house, and up 2 entry stairs. You will be given a WiFi code which will work on the house and the detached shop. You wont have to have a key or meet anyone! Simply codes to our Wifi door locks! Easy security, in a very very safe small town! We also want to point out for access for our furry friends (up to 2 dogs) Please note after booking, we will send a specific message that we would like a response back too. Easier than a contract, its just an acknowledgement of the following. Visiting with dogs? Please only allow dogs upstairs on the main floor where all floors are hardwood or tile. We have a baby gate at the top of the stairs, please use it the entire length of the stay if you have doggies! No dogs downstairs at any time, please! Entire downstairs is fresh carpet! Secondly we have allowed dogs, and previous guests did not follow the no dogs on beds rule. We will ask you to promise us that dogs will remain on the floor on the doggy beds! I'm available via airbnb message from dawn to dusk! Our entire goal is that you have a wonderful experience at the AvocadoAbode! See our reviews! Location CENTRAL! Where you cannot wait to return, or tell a friend about the Avocado house in Columbia Falls, Montana! Strong Wi-Fi,house is stocked and ready for you! Some will travel from out of state to get to the house... Arriving late at night is no problem. Bright LED lights comes on at night outside the shop. Motion activated porch light at the front of the house, and motion activated led flood lights outside the shop when you come down the driveway. Your adventure awaits, make memories. Avocado Abode is located in the heart of downtown Columbia Falls, you are a few blocks away from the main road which is just enough for complete silence once you step outside. The house is a 1929, fully restored home, inside and out! Looking out of the living room, kitchen, breakfast nook, and master bath suite you can see the foothills of Glacier National Park, as it starts to go up into elevation in the park! We are less than 2 miles away from over a dozen restaurants, 3 grocery stores, ATM's, fuel, hardware store and .7mi away from Montana Coffee Roasters. All of the mature fir trees you see in the photos are on the property. Back yard features lawn chairs, wood table, umbrella, propane fire pit, and new stainless 4 burner BBQ and all the utensils you'll need to have a great dinner outside! The backyard has a relaxing "blanket" effect with these trees. If you stay up late, you might catch the deer in the yard as they wander through for a snack. Guests are within walking distance of a few restaurants and our favorite coffee shop, Montana Coffee Roasters! Guests need to know that you are visiting at 3,100 feet in elevation! There will be snow at times. We have a large bag of melting salts in the detached shop if you care to spread some out on the walkway during your stay. If heavy snow is forecasted, we have a contractor that may request you to pull your car into the detached shop so that he can snow plow the driveway. The detached/heated work shop is INCLUDED in your reservation! There is a long main driveway, and we have gravel RV parking on the west side of the home. The driveway has more than enough room regardless of your vehicle. If you have snowmobiles, dirtbikes, side by side, you can store these items in the detached shop safely and dry. On the West side of the house is a gravel parking area big enough for a full size truck and 28' travel trailer to be stored away. When you book a reservation with us, you speak to us. The owners! We don't contract that out to someone that doesn't know us, and doesn't put in the dedication we do! When you have questions or need something, your message comes straight to us! In the winter months, our contracted professional cleaner will do what she can to keep the walkway clear of snow, and if snow is heavy, we call a contractor to snow blow the driveway! :-) BUT! Guests MAY need shovel snow off of the 2 house steps and a few feet of walkway from the house to the shop! Snow shovel and 2 kids sleds provided in the shop! You're here for adventure! Have fun! Besides the colors, the raw woodworking, we love the thick walls, the 2x6 boards that were used for the floors underneath the wood flooring. The arched doorways. The large bookshelf that we've transformed into a "take a book, leave a book" fun! If you book with us and you have books that you've already read....... Please! Bring them! Leave them for the next guest! Take something for yourself to read! Showing the original, almost 100 year old charm. The house was rewired during the remodel process. The house is set up in a way so that if you're travelling with kids, the downstairs den is a large bedroom and "hang out" it has a small reading relaxing nook area, and a bigger den area. The house offers a bit of a "kids downstairs, adults upstairs" vibe. If you're travelling with all adults, the twin beds downstairs are adult mattresses, and the bright blue couch converts to a queen hide a bed. The den has a 43" 4K HD smart TV, all bedrooms and living room have HD smart TV's. The master bath suite offers a large jacuzzi jet tub for relaxing after a day of fun experiences. We are at 3,100 feet in elevation! The June/July/August average temperature high, is 76 degrees. It cools off FAST in the mountains. The house has a 10,000 BTU AC from May 1 to Oct. 1. The master bedroom and the living room have a ceiling fan. The downstairs den is 50% underground so it is temperature regulated very well! Up to 2 well behaved, and floor sleeping, dogs are allowed to stay in our home! If and only if mom or dad are ok with doggies remaining on the main floor and not on beds! We have a german shepherd pup so we understand! Please, trained well travelled dogs only. NO cats or other animals. Very firm on this please. Last but not least! We have new patio furniture, fire pit, umbrella, beach lounge chairs (4), new chairs, and new 4 burner stainless BBQ on site! We also have bicycles for adults and kids and we have 2 snow sleds for the kids! These items are in the shop for you to pull out and use accordingly!
