Description

Enjoy the sounds of nature and relaxing breeze at this waterfront getaway retreat on Wapsipinicon river. Boat ramp just a few minutes away. Central location with access to 2,000+ acres of public land within 10 min drive and kayaks rentals. Large screened-in porch overlooking the river, nice firepit just outside the cabin. Paved RV parking pad with hook-ups (extra fees apply to park an RV). Get fresh eggs or meet some friendly animals at the goat farm across the street (call Liz in advance). The space Enjoy the privacy of having both cabins on this unique property. Since they share a bathroom, they are always rented together. You'll have the entire space to yourselves during your stay. The Main Cabin (the one that is closer to the road and has the keypad lock) offers 1 room that can sleep up to 4 people: 1 king bed, one sectional couch that opens into a full bed, and an ottoman that opens into a twin bed. Dining table can sit 4 people. Bathroom offers walk-in shower and stackable Washer/Dryer. The Second Cabin can also sleep up to 4 people: 1 king bed and 1 sleeper-couch that opens into a full bed. Second Cabin also has a fridge and a wood burning fireplace, but no running water or bathroom. All guests will have to use the only bathroom in the Main Cabin. There is an RV pad with RV hookups next to the cabin. Please let us know what are your needs and we could either put an RV there for you or bring your own. Extra charges apply ($35 per day if you bring an RV). Guest access ***Very Important*** The Second Cabin has no bathroom or running water. All guests will need to use the only bathroom in the Main Cabin. Other things to note No hunting or discharging of firearms allowed. For our long-term guests, we're pleased to offer house cleaning services during your stay. This optional service is provided at cost, allowing you to enjoy a consistently clean and comfortable home environment throughout your visit. D&E Farm is located across the street from the cabin. Before you go, please call or text Liz at the number on the farm picture to see if she is available for a quick farm tour or to buy fresh eggs. You can see and pet some animals (bunnies, goats, guinea pigs), and see many different birds, including ducks, turkeys, chickens, peacocks, swans and more. There is no charge for the farm visit, but availability is not guaranteed as the farm is not affiliated with the cabin. Liz and her family are very friendly and try their best to accommodate visitors, while still running the farm. Sometimes they have animal treats for sale. Many of the farm birds are free-ranging, so you might see them crossing the street for a visit. There are also a few livestock guard dogs on the farm. They have no collars so they don't get caught on fences when chasing predators. The dogs are friendly, but please don't feed them, when they come visiting the cabin, as they need to maintain a certain diet.
