The space This charming, fully-renovated apartment in Somerset's Historic Main Street Village District is your perfect home base for exploring the area. Fall River MBTA Station now open operating 15 trips a day directly into Boston's South Station. The station is 7 miles from the apartment and will take you into Boston's South Station. All day parking is currently $4 a day and a trip on the train is $12.50 each way. Reduced pricing on weekends. We've chosen high-quality mattresses, pillows, and linens to ensure a restful night's sleep after your adventures. Everyone gets a hot shower with the on demand tankless water heater. This house was built in the 1800’s. The stairs getting up to the apartment are very steep and are not for everyone. Please take this into consideration if you plan to have older family members as part of your booking party. **New stairs July of 2025!! You will a new set of exterior stairs that lead directly into the main bedroom off the parking area with direct backyard access. These stairs are wide and to modern code unlike the existing stairs from the 1850’s. This should be very helpful to guests carting items in and out of the apartment. The Bird House comfortably accommodates up to 5 guests with 2 queen beds and 2 additional full size beds encompassing 3 bedrooms. There's also space for up to 3 extra guests for an additional fees. Two off-street parking spaces are available in the driveway parking area. More may be made available upon request. Ideal for a relaxing getaway or exploring the area. Enjoy the oversized fenced yard while sitting by the fire on the outside patio. In the off season, the apartment is perfect for remote work crews. Guest access You will have access to the back yard patio with chairs and a chiminea. There is a corn hole game in the shed for you to use if you like. You have 2 parking spaces available off street in the large driveway facing the fence. If you are going to require more than 2 spaces, you need to ask before you arrive. Other things to note SUMMER of 2024 Fall River MBTA Station opening! (Delayed until May of 2025…. The 3rd major delay) The station is a $15.00 Uber ride or just 12 minutes drive from the apartment and will take you into Boston's South Station. The listing settings are for 5 people but the space can accommodate up to 8. Extra guest fees are $20/person per night after 5 people. If you intentionally underreport you guest total and arrive with more than 5 guests without letting the host know, you will be billed $35/extra guest per night. If you are planning to have a pre wedding, wedding party, graduation party, etc. here, that needs to be conveyed to the host ideally before you book but or before you arrive. All the details need to be ironed out before you arrive, not after. Illegal unreported wedding/graduation/family parties run the risk of being asked to leave for violating the house rules. I'm not trying to ruin anyone's wedding, but communication is key. My neighbors are getting tired (and so am I) of some people trying to sneak in 6-8 cars and 15-20 people but only booking the place for 2. We are very accommodating, but communication is essential. 1800’s house has 1800’s stairs to the unit. They are very steep and very narrow. They are not for everyone.
