We fell in love with the wide Delaware Bay sunsets, peaceful streets, and the feeling of having space to slow down, something that is harder to find in busier beach towns. Our goal was to design a place where friends and families can cook together, let the dogs run in the yard, gather around the fire pit, and end the night in the hot tub under the stars. THE EXPERIENCE: 🌅 Bay Beach Living (Not Oceanfront): We are an **8-minute walk to the Delaware Bay** — not the ocean. The bay is peaceful, uncrowded, and ideal for: * Sunset walks * Birding * Kayaking (bring your own) * Shoreline splashing for little ones It is **not ideal for full swimming** like the Atlantic. The ocean beaches of Cape May are just a 15-minute drive away. 🦀 Horseshoe Crab Season (May–June): For several weeks each spring, horseshoe crabs come ashore to spawn. It’s a fascinating natural event locals treasure. It can be aromatic at times, so we encourage guests to learn about this unique ecological phenomenon before booking during those weeks. 🌿 Outdoor Living: Set on a spacious 120 x 102 corner lot, the yard feels expansive and private—perfect for both kids and dogs. Breed restrictions apply per insurance (see house rules). 📝 Rental Agreement and House Rules A digital rental agreement (including hot tub, pool, and pet waivers) is required via Dropbox Sign. Please review all house rules under "Things To Know" at the bottom of the listing before booking. 🕒 Check-In / Check-Out Check-in: After 3 PM Check-out: 10 AM We often accommodate early check-in/off-season late checkout when possible. Not available during high season. 🧹 Checkout Basics * Strip beds * Take out trash/recycling * Put away dishes * Clean up after pets 🌿 Maintenance Our hot tub and lawn are serviced between guest stays to keep everything in great shape. If you arrive before the 3:00 PM check-in time, you may see our team finishing up outside. On rare occasions, service may need to happen after check-in, or we may ask if lawn care can be completed while you're out. If this would present a privacy concern, please let us know. 🎥 Security Cameras Ring doorbell (front porch) 1 backyard camera (gate-facing only) 1 front yard/driveway facing camera 🔊 Alexas Provided throughout the home to play music. We do not monitor guests. Feel free to unplug for privacy. 📅 Seasonal Dates Pool: May 27 – October 4 Hot Tub: Open Year-Round Outdoor Shower: Closed November – April ❄️ Cancellation Our cancellation policy is firm: • 30+ days before arrival: full refund • 7–30 days before arrival: 50% refund • Less than 7 days: no refund During the off season we may consider rebooking your dates within 30 days. If you cancel outside of the cancellation window, if rebooked, we will refund you up to the rate received (Airbnb retains their service fee). Guest access We have large driveway and there is plenty of street parking. Bayshore road takes you quickly to Cape May Beaches. Uber is about $25 ad 15 min to downtown (not bad if you're splitting it btwn friends!).
