The Street Car rail stop is only 20 steps from the front door of apartment. There is also a free reserved parking lot for 8 cars for guests. It is a perfect spot for Festival Season or any other time you are visiting since we are just a 15 minute stroll into the French Quarter on foot and 5 minutes by bike. Located on the Mardi Gras parade route, we are closest to Frenchman street and we are right in the heart of the popular Marigny and Bywater area filled with great restaurants, bars, and coffee shops. PARKING: Easy on street parking, no meters, no time restrictions and always spaces available on my block. Guest have the entire apartment to themselves and can access all areas of the large apartment. I'm available 24-7 to guests for restaurant, museum, night-club, shopping, and historical tour recommendations. An extension of the French Quarters with a little less busyness and a more homey neighborhood feel. The apartment is located on a main street, therefore please note there is some street traffic noise. The Marigny is an eclectic and bohemian musicians and artists community just outside the French Quarter. This is a safe and walkable neighborhood with lots of unusual bars, thrift stores, music, dining, and coffee shops in the area that the locals enjoy. Located a few steps away from Frenchman Street, which is the best street for enjoying the local jazz scene of New Orleans as well as St. Claude Ave which is an up and coming street with art galleries/bars and vaudeville/circus nexus of the city. You can practically walk to all the best sights in New Orleans from the apartment. New Orleans is a walkable city and we also have the Street Car service which runs from Canal Street to Uptown/Garden District from the Quarter. The Street Car stop is just 20 steps from the front door of the apartment. There are also bike-shares nearby, the RTA public transportation stop is only steps away from the apartment. Uber and Lyft are also very convenient and easy for ride-shares. Please note that there is a bar next door that sometimes plays loud music until about 1:00 am on the weekends. This is not every weekend, but occasionally the bar will have special events where loud music is played until late hours until the night.
