First floor of an ocean-side duplex. The house is one in from the ocean, steps away from the 10th Street beach access or 9th street wheelchair-accessible beach ramp. The master bedroom has a queen size bed, and two other bedrooms each have two twin beds. Sleeps 6 comfortably. 1 bathroom plus an outdoor shower and sink. Walking distance to the beach, Barnegat Lighthouse, restaurants, mini golf, dog park, skate park, basketball/tennis/pickle ball courts, and playground. There are beach chairs, beach toys, umbrellas, boogie boards, tennis/pickle ball equipment, and bikes available for use. There is a gas grill on the deck. The house is equipped with standard kitchen and laundry room appliances. You must provide your own Netflix/etc login for the Roku TV. Please note that there are stairs leading up to the first floor (not wheelchair accessible). This is a non-smoking apartment. Guests have access to the first floor apartment, part of the underhouse for laundry facility and bike/beach supplies, and the backyard. I live on the top floor of the house and can be available if needed. The house is located at the end of a quiet street with no through traffic. Historic Barnegat Light on LBI is a great spot for the whole family whether you want to relax by the ocean, go to the Barnegat Light museum, or eat seafood by the bay. Make sure to climb all 217 steps of the Barnegat Lighthouse ("Old Barney") while you're here, and get a gorgeous view of the island from the top! Walking and biking are the easiest ways to get around. There is a bike lane across the 18-mile island. There are cruiser bikes available for your use to tour the island. Please check the calendar for availability. In the off-season, there is a three night minimum stay. During the summer months, the minimum length of stay is one week. The rental week runs from Saturday till Saturday. You are required to bring your own bed linens. I do provide blankets, pillows, and towels. Since I don't charge a cleaning fee, you are expected to leave the apartment the way you found it (towels washed, trash taken out, floors vacuumed, etc.). The full cleaning requirements are listed in the house manual on the kitchen table. If you would like to hire a cleaning service, you can write me a check for $100. This rental is not appropriate for parties or events. No more than 6 people are allowed on the premises. Please limit pets to 2 dogs/cats. Beach tags are provided in the summer. PLEASE NOTE..... new reservations for the year 2024 will not be accepted until after October 15 2023. This will give repeat customers first priority. PLEASE do not send reservation requests.
