Experience Montana farm life on a real working farm near Flathead Lake in Lower Valley. Children love meeting the hogs, chickens and goats on the property. The guests get to collect organic pastured eggs to eat and can even help milk the goats if they wish. This historic farm house has been beautifully renovated and sleeps 12. It offers a gourmet kitchen, antique furnishings, a claw foot bathtub, a jetted tub in the master bathroom as well as a full dining room and a separate breakfast nook. This is a working farm with goats and 14 baby kids, American Guinea Hogs and piglets. Guest love interacting with the farm animals & can even set up a time to help feed and milk. We feed our chickens Montana Organic grain and they run free in the back pasture so their eggs are extra special. With 5 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms there is plenty of space for a large group. Grandparents love the ground floor bedroom and bathroom, allowing a bit of privacy for multi-family visits. Enjoy beautiful Montana evenings on our wrap around veranda. You will have access to the front and back yard. The barn and pasture area will not be available unless Andy or Melanie are there feeding the animals. You can see and engage with the goats and pigs through the fence, but for the animals safety we ask that you not go in the pastures. We ( Andy and Melanie) live 1/2 mile away and Melanie will be coming to the farm each day to feed and water the chickens, goats and pigs, and she will be milking the goats in the barn each morning. If you want to visit, its up to you. If not, you wont even know she's there. If your stay is over 3 days we will set up a time that works for you for us to come over and mow or water the lawn. Beautiful View of the Swan Range and Church Slough is 1/2 mile away. This is a true local gem! Great swimming, fishing, kayaking, and canoeing! This is an Oxbow bend off of the Flathead River, with no current. Lots of parking on the property. 2 car garage and outside parking
