Newly renovated beautiful Creole Complex - Huge and stunning 5BR 3.5Bath 1860s Creole Cottage! Perfect for hosting huge groups comfortably, living room seats 18ppl! Great location in Historic Treme/7th Ward: 4 blocks to the French Quarter, 8 blocks to heart of Frenchmen Street, and 3 blocks to the new Rampart Streetcar line! Enjoy sun on the large patio or soak in the 4 person spa under the palm trees. The Creole Complex includes 5 bedrooms, 11 beds, 3 full baths, 1 half baths, 1 kitchens, 1 massive living &dining rooms with double 12’ sofas, bar room, beautiful side gallery, and gorgeous huge back patio with hot tub! Ideal for huge groups! Permit number 17STR-10346 !!!This is a licensed and legal vacation rental; beware booking with listings that are not as the city is working with Airbnb to remove and shut those properties down over the summer. Owner must live on site, as I do next door!!! The Big House: The huge and historic main house is a stunning 1860s creole cottage mansion with original brickwork and frame but completely renovated 4 years ago: it has 5 bedrooms 3.5 bathrooms and a bonus 6th sleeping room. Downstairs has soaring 15' ceilings, new granite counters, stocked kitchen with essential cookware and coffee, brand new appliances and dishwasher, an 8ft cypress dining table, living room with a bar as well as 2 12’ couches and a church pew with 65” TV. Hulu plus, Netflix, Prime, HBO, Showtime all included. Outside there is a side gallery (thats a New Orleans porch) with new beautiful iron work and hanging ferns. Workout equipment and hot tub in back under the palm trees on the massive patio! Guests have access both the private side yard and private back yard I am a full time host and am always available to help with anything that might come up as well as recommendations and have a stocked supply closet next door in extra supplies are needed. The property is keyless entry, so you can let yourself in (after the maids are done of course) and I normally stop by to say hi, go over house rules, and give a brief tour. After that I tend to give people their space, but am always next-door if anyone wants to come visiting! The Treme/7th Ward is a very old and historic neighborhood, once forgotten but now quickly transforming into an up-and-coming neighborhood that will be on par with the Marigny and Bywater soon. Renovations are happening at a mind-blowing rate, and tight historic code ensures that these old houses retain their beautiful character and architecture as the neighborhood itself beautifies and finishes fixing up the last remaining pockets of remaining Katrina blight. From the antebellum mansions along Esplanade (two blocks from the house) that used to be Storyville, to the beautiful creole cottages and shotguns throughout (this one was built in 1860's from the documents that remain), the neighborhood is steeped in history. The location is as close as you can get to the action downtown and still be on a quiet enough block to come back and get some rest. The French Quarter is close enough to hear the riverboat calliope on the wind, being 4 blocks/0.3 miles to edge of the French Quarter, and 13 blocks/ 1.0 mile to Jackson Square which is regarded as the center of the FQ. The heart of Frenchmen Street in the Marigny Triangle is 8 blocks/0.5miles from the house as well, where the best live music in town is... with the Marigny Rectangle and Bywater just beyond that as well, home to some of the best bars and restaurants in town. Now that the new Streetcar line is up and running just 2 blocks away, the neighborhood is connected to Uptown and Mid-City via streetcar which is fantastic! For getting around, you can walk to the French Quarter, Frenchmen street, the Marigny and the Bywater. Anywhere further (or if its too hot) I recommend uber over cabs. They are very reasonable and quick. The new streetcar line is 2 blocks from the front door! it runs down Rampart/St.Claude between Elysian Fields and Canal street (where you can catch the other streetcar lines uptown to the garden district on St Charles or to city park on Canal). New Orleans has passed new laws and I am unable to advertise for more than 10 ppl in a single listing, but this place sleeps a lot more comfortably
