A lovingly renovated 1910 cottage with all the modern necessities and amenities but keeping with her historical charm. This cottage sits above the original site of the Buffalo Bill Cody family home, now marked only by a sign indicating where it once stood. In 1933, the house was moved by train to Cody, Wyoming, to serve as a tourist attraction. It’s easy to picture a young Buffalo Bill playing here before his family moved to Kansas when he was about seven. The cottage is the last remaining building of the three that once stood on this land. The original outhouse still stands at the back, while two small brick homes were torn down years ago. Even now, old bricks and some original foundation can still be spotted hidden in the landscaping. The Views! Savor breathtaking river vistas from every window—there isn’t a single one without a stunning view of the water. Begin your day with mesmerizing sunrises over the majestic Mississippi River, or unwind in the evening on the sunporch, decks, or by the firepit garden, taking in the glorious spectacle of the setting sun. This isn’t your run-of-the-mill vacation rental; it’s more like stepping into a time-traveling treasure chest. I’ve crisscrossed the country collecting antiques, quirky décor, and furniture. After over a decade of ownership, it’s my delight to let guests from around the globe experience its whimsical personality. Kitchen amenities.
