Peace In Paradise / Diamond Head & Ocean Views
Those of us who love the Hawaiian Islands feel a strong sense of place. We are connected to this land and to the ocean and to the winds that bring us renewal and peace. We strive to show Aloha (love, and consideration and compassion) to others. I invite you to experience some of these gifts that Hawaii has to offer. My unit at Diamond Head offers a view of the Pacific Ocean. You have access to the ocean front lanai and lawn. If you are wanting more soul in your vacation, you may find it here. You will have a view of the ocean from one side of the unit and a view of Diamond Head (Leahi) from the other side! My unit is fully furnished: rattan furnishings, a new queen bed and hybrid mattress with high thread count sheets, a Keurig coffee maker, microwave, small blender, a toaster and small refrigerator. Beach towels are provided for your enjoyment. There is a yoga mat available in the unit. There is a small library of books about the Hawaiian Islands and Hawaiian culture. The trade winds provide a soothing breeze and the shell dreamcatcher is lovely to look at. The physical location is far enough from Waikiki that you are not in the middle of crowds of tourists, yet you are within walking distance should you want to go there. It is across the street from Kapiolani park “the jewel of Oahu”. It is on the slopes of Diamond Head and walking or jogging around Diamond Head is a favorite activity for enthusiasts. Kaimana Beach is less than 100 yards away and offers a wonderful safe, sandy and life-guarded swimming beach that is very popular with locals. BIKI bike rentals are located at various areas in the park and various locations across Oahu. I will meet you when you first arrive to give you a lei greeting, the keys and key fob and show you around the property. After that, I will be available by text message should you need something or have any questions. I live 15 minutes away from the property. This area is referred to the Gold Coast... what more needs to be said? It is located directly across from Kapiolani park, 150 yards from Kaimana Beach (a sandy, safe and lifeguarded beach), 5 minutes walk from the Waikiki Aquarium, 15 minutes walk to the Honolulu Zoo. Waikiki and all the shopping and activity are also within walking distance. With all there is to see within walking distance, most people prefer to walk. Two doors down from the building is The Bus stop. Honolulu bus system has an excellent rating and you get get literally anywhere on the island from The Bus. Biki bike rentals have many and convenient bike rental stations on Oahu. The nightly fee includes Hawaii state General Excise tax of 4.5% and Hawaii Transient Accommodation tax of 10.25% so here's how that breaks down: $130 x 10.25% TAT = $13.65 $130 x 4.25% (GET) = $5.53 Total = $149 Every guest will get a flower lei greeting. Guests staying at least a week will get an Aloha travel kit with locally made beauty items. Guests staying a month or more will also get a locally made pareo (sarong) or hat
