Basic cooking dry goods (spices, flour, sugar, etc.) and cookware available for your use. Option available for portable work space with two computer monitors. (Make host aware of your needs prior to stay). Front patio is perfect for relaxing and enjoying the sunset/wildlife view. Grocery store 3 minutes away - down the hill and around the corner for fresh perishables and big ticket items. (See Guide Book for details) Many extras in home designed to make your stay comfortable, pleasant and worry free. Laundry room with washer, dryer, soap/softener, iron and clothes folding table at the bottom of the stairs for guest usage. Basement walk/out apartment with separate locked entrance is utilized by host when not traveling. Parking in driveway in front of the house. Garage is not currently available for guest usage. Access will be via door code and sent to your phone prior to arrival. I am available and happy to assist guests in any way I can. If I am traveling, I am available 24 hours via text or phone call for any questions, etc. Home nestled atop the bluffs on a dead-end street. Close-knit neighborhood with a grouping of five houses. It is friendly, safe and quiet. Enjoy all the hustle, bustle and activities of the thriving City of Omaha and then take the quick 10-15 minute journey into your quiet, cozy, home retreat in the bluffs. A place where you can truly relax. Lounge on the patio with your favorite beverage, enjoy conversation, laughter and the comfort of pleasant welcoming surroundings. If that sounds appealing, look no further, you've found your retreat. There is an abundance of nature and wildlife to enjoy - This applies specifically to four-legged and feathered friends (i.e. deer, owls, etc.) This space is not intended nor conducive to overly loud and invasive human wildlife. Neighbors are wonderful people whom I respect and enjoy - I intend to keep it that way. ABSOLUTELY NO LARGE GROUP, OR LOUD, LATE, PARTYING WILL BE TOLERATED. Treehouse is perfectly located. Quick, easy access off of Kanesville Boulevard (aka Highway 6, aka Dodge Street out of Omaha) and up a long hill from the local hospital. HIghway 6 takes you from the house westward into downtown Omaha (5 mi.). Old market, CHI Center, CWS, etc. Same route is also a quick conduit to to 7th Street and I-29 South-access out of Council Bluffs. Casinos, shopping and restaurants, or I-480 and I-80 south to Omaha for the Zoo, Gardens, Little Italy, etc. Local restaurants, pharmacy, grocery store, and YMCA are all at the bottom of the hill. North of the house is Big Lake Park is (2.5 m)- biking trail starts there and winds over to the Kerrey Pedestrian Bridge into Omaha, Waterfront Park, etc. Brotherhood Softball Fields (2.0 m.) to the north. Downtown Council Bluffs - restaurants, nightlife, park, public library, The Hub Family Entertainment Center, are 5 min. (1.8 m.) away. Uber and Lyft are easy and inexpensive options. Perfect central location to anywhere you want to go in the area. Traffic during busy times is usually flowing the opposite way, thus access for you to anywhere is quick and easy. Best kept secret of places to stay! Home is NOT BABY OR TODDLER FRIENDLY. As noted in many other areas - This home is NOT SET UP NOR CONDUCIVE TO babies or toddlers. It is not baby/child-proofed. Stairs leading to laundry room are ungated. back patio area is a beautiful and captivating space for everyone BUT NOT FOR TODDLERS. PLEASE DO NOT BOOK THIS SPACE if you have a busy >1-3 yr old or an active, curious and adventurous 4-6 yr old. You would not be able to relax and enjoy yourself like you should. It is a safety concern and liability issue for me. Open and honest communication in this area is essential. New carpeting. Please remove shoes in the house. There are a variety of house slippers and/or flip flops available for your use. WIFI available. Television in living area and master bedroom is through ROKU with many options available (Amazon Prime, Netflix, News, Disney, ESPN). Alexa is hanging out in the living room if you want music or information. Note: Tornado siren located across the road which is tested on the 1st Saturday of every month from 10:00 - 10:02 a.m. If you're stay happens to be on that date and your are at the house take note - that thing is loud - yeh, it's a warning siren - so it's not quiet - and you do NOT want to be sitting outside on the front porch for the 1-2 minutes it lasts because it is not conducive to the normal quiet and relaxing ambiance of the treehouse.
