Part of this bright, sprawling, five-acre property was built in 1866 as a schoolhouse. Its historic charm now includes all the updated comforts of home, in an idyllic country setting that's lovely in all seasons. Located a short drive from Jiminy Peak, Brooksong is perfect for a ski vacation and close to plenty of lakes for summer fun. With a pool table, fire pit, and play set for kids, this is the perfect place to recharge and have fun with the people you care about. Welcome to Brooksong! The space Brooksong is full of historical flourishes and quirks, but the house has been completely renovated with comfort in mind. Play pool and foosball, sip cocktails at the antique 1920s bar, sing songs around the outdoor fire pit, cook dinner in the huge kitchen or grill on the porch in the sun. Lovingly maintained, Brooksong has the ideal combination of classic and modern decor. Skiers and hikers will love the surrounding area, which is incredibly picturesque. The stunning waterfall at Wahconah Falls State Park is just up the road, and there are several places nearby to hit the slopes, including Jiminy Peak, about 20 minutes away. If you’re looking to get some breathing room, Brooksong is the ideal location. We have few neighbors, and they are separated from the property by farmland and woods. Our water comes from a well. Self-sustaining farms are within walking distance. The property is secluded but not cut off from civilization, so there are many stores near to get supplies. Costco, Target and Home Depot are less than a 10-minute drive away. The WiFi is generally excellent, and all the infrastructure necessities of the house are constantly maintained. A house manager is available 24/7 for any problems that should arise.
