Thatch Quarters™ on Broadway is our most budget-friendly hotel option in the City, offering basic amenities in a central location. A stay at Quarters includes a private queen bedroom with linens, towels for 2 and access to shared bathrooms. Located in the heart of South Boston, you will be steps from Southie's best restaurants and bars, the "T" and a short walk to the Boston Convention and Exhibition Center (BCEC). The space Quarters™ is ideal for up to 2 travelers who are comfortable with sharing bathrooms and common spaces with other guests. The experience is similar to a hostel experience except you have a private bedroom and there are no services or on-site staff. Each room has a queen bed, a desk and comes with linens and towels for two people. All rooms have windows for fresh air and natural light. All guests have access to two shared single lockable bathrooms per floor as well as a shared kitchen that is suitable for making coffee or preparing a simple meal. All common areas are cleaned regularly by Thatch’s professional cleaning staff but we ask all guests to clean up after themselves in the common areas and upon departure from their room. There is coin-operated laundry available in the building. The building has a central HVAC system that provides heat and air conditioning and Wi-Fi is provided free of charge to all guests. Pets are not allowed at this property, unfortunately. The location could not be more perfect with all South Boston at your doorstep and the wildly popular Seaport District just a short walk away. The Red Line Subway Station is located directly across the front door, giving all guests quick access to Downtown/Financial District, Beacon Hill, and Cambridge/MIT/Harvard. Other things to note Thatch is a local, Boston-based hospitality management company. Our offices are located in the South End. We manage over 100 furnished apartments throughout Boston and our goal is to make every stay easy and enjoyable for our guests. There is no parking located at this building. The closest garage is the Channel Center garage, located a 20-minute walk or 5-minute cab ride away at 116 W 1st St. Boston Convention and Exhibition Center is a walk or short cab ride away. Hynes Convention is accessible via the subway. Logan Airport is a <10-minute taxi ride; Harvard University and MIT are a short train ride away. All the major hospitals in the city are also accessible from this location. Six Important Things to know about Quarters on Broadway 1. You are renting a private room that shares common bathrooms, common kitchen, and common laundry. Your private room consists of a queen size bed, a desk and a wardrobe closet that includes an iron and iron board. 3. There is no elevator in this building, and you may have to go up as many as 2 flights of stairs to reach your room.  4. South Boston is a bustling neighborhood with bars and restaurants, open late throughout the week.  5. The kitchen has a microwave, hot water kettle, Keurig, microwave and utensils, there is no oven or cooktop.  6. Due to the building limitations, the HVAC system is controlled by Thatch employees only. Each floor is controlled by one thermostat so be advised, we can not adjust your unit without effecting the other units that are on the same floor as you. Our goal is to be sure to accommodate every guest inside the property by setting an appropriate temperature throughout the day and night.
