This 2 BR/2 BA unit has a sleeper sofa, so it can sleep six in a pinch, though the sofa would be best for 1 adult or 2 kids. It is in downtown State Center, 20 minutes W of Marshalltown, 25 mins E of Ames/ISU and 45 mins from Des Moines. Within 3-6 blocks are; -2 restaurants -1 bar -Bank with 24-hour ATM -Watson’s Grocery Museum -Gutekunst Public Library -One Room Schoolhouse -Restored Train Station -Public Rose Garden Come wander around and experience our farming village! The space This unit was created because of guest requests for a two bedroom unit which could accommodate longer stays. We’ve hosted numerous travelers as well as lots of former locals back here visiting. We also get people temporarily working in Marshalltown, Ames or with ISU who want to experience an authentic small farming community during their stay. Guest access Guests have full access to this 2BR/2BA unit. Other things to note Relax, have fun, and don’t be afraid to meet the locals. They’re generally quite friendly folks.
