Rockport Hideaway... Cape Ann's best kept secret!

No pets anymore. 2BR/1.5Bath cottage on private 6+ acre tree-shrouded hilltop. Walking distance to downtown and famous swimming quarry. Miles of hiking/biking trails. Upgraded appliances and newly refinished screen porch. Recently added high-speed Internet and cable TV. The space Geez, I don't know how to tell you if you're looking for hotel-clean, don't contact me. I have a professional cleaner for the "flips" between guests, but guess what!? There might be cobwebs a day later! This is a cottage. See my original description below for which I was recently criticized for cobwebs: Okay...this house is not for the squeamish. It is a country cottage w/ cobwebs, occasional mice, dust, etc. The furnishings are old and a little tattered, having been occupied by some of Boston's most famous artists for decades. While hygienic, it is not "deeply clean," to be honest. What it is, is one of the most private properties on Cape Ann. No touristas for as far as the eye can see. What it has is access to the only private 6.5 acre swimming quarry on the Cape. All our Tony neighbors in-town just wish they had membership...they don't. What it has is direct access to miles of walking and biking trails. What it has is walking distance access to front beach and downtown Rockport. What it has is 360+ years of history. Again, this is like a backwoods hunting lodge with nicer linens. You will be greeted and well supported. Pets are welcome lest they have a proclivity to chew things not otherwise edible. There is a one-time cleaning charge for pet-guests. To our surprise, children seem delighted with this setting. Though we now have high-speed Internet and cable, kids go offline here on their own initiative... except our son, but he's jaded! There is artwork in the house worth more than the house in dollars, and far more in memories. you are " We love sharing our hideaway with folks who can appreciate for what it is. Other things to note There is a second cottage on the property which is frequently occupied by my in-laws. They are very respectful of guests. They do have a very friendly rescue-dog, who will greet you.
