Main road up to the cabin is maintained/plowed after every significant snowfall so you will never be snowed in or out. There is no Uber, Lyft, or bus transportation nearby. We do highly recommend Miller Mountain Transport, a local private transport service for day trips or airport transfers. 4wd vehicle is required during winter months and is always a good idea in Montana any time of year. Indoor fireplace is electric (not wood burning or propane). In efforts to prevent the cause of wildfire, we have recently replaced the wood burning fire pit outside with a Big Timber Wood Pellet Stove. Starter pellets are provided and more are sold at the store nearby for approximately $8 per bag.
