With this property, you have access to Hanalei Bay Resort and all its features including Tennis Courts, Swimming Pool, Fitness Center and Bar & lounge The property also has community BBQ's and a Tennis pro shop. Aloha! We love interacting with our guests but won't bother you unless you need a little help. You may see us at the beach or paddling canoe, surfing or hiking because we love the island lifestyle and try to get outside for exercise on a regular basis. All of our properties are 100% private (no shared spaces or hosts that are in house) so you'll have the hale all to yourself. Hanalei Bay Resort Even though hitchhiking is an approved mode of transit and we have a bus (yes just one) on island we almost always say it's good to have da car. The Garden island is chock full of nooks and crannies that you'll need wheels to get to so it's best to rent while here. The bus IS a pretty wild experience if you decide to go that route. You'll get to meet the locals but don't plan on using the bus on a tight schedule... Once it took me nearly ALL DAY to get to Lihue from Princeville when doing some test rides. Also, be aware that this is a residential neighborhood. Please be respectful to neighbors when coming and going from the unit, and when utilizing exterior areas. Responsible party must be 21 years of age or older to rent with KREG. Also worth noting for those new to Kauai is that there are lots of fauna and flora that one may not be used to on the mainland. This is paradise for more than humans and you'll see Chickens and Roosters throughout the island, geckos (they are our friends) as they take care of other bugs that you might come across as well. We treat for pests regularly and the first couple days after treatment activity is a little higher and you may run across something. We do not provide full, large bottles of soaps and shampoo conditioner, but simply a starter pack to get you going. You can purchase those items at the Foodland grocery store in Princeville. We are also not a hotel, so we do not do linen refreshing or housekeeping during your stay. We can provide clean linens if you like for $30. There is a resort fee of $25/day, a parking fee of $20/day and a one time $50 Check in Fee that will be paid directly to the resort at the front desk upon arrival. If pool towels are not returned by the guest, your card on file with the resort will be charged.
