The Sheffield Lodge is a warm and inviting rustic Bed and Breakfast secluded from city life nestled in a pine forest. Previously operated as the popular Ramblewood Inn, Sheffield Lodge has recently been purchased by new owners who are lovingly restoring it into the modern, comfortable and upscaled Sheffield Lodge; offering guests incredible hospitality in a charming rustic atmosphere. We have 5 rooms listed so if the Washington Room is not your 'cup of tea' then take a look at our other listings, the Greylock, Everrett, Monument, Taconic, and Washington Rooms. They are very comfortable in their appointments just as this room is. For those with allergies, please be aware that there are cats in the house. This is not a 'pet-friendly' room but the Everett and Monument Rooms are. The Washington Room shares a full bathroom with the Taconic Room. Note: The wall to wall carpet has been replaced with hardwood floors and area rugs. We welcome you into our home. We live on-site and are available at any time day or night. A favorite lunch place for delicious home cooking is Mom's Cafe, just up the road. There are 2 cats that live downstairs and occasionally come up to say hi to the guests. Sheffield Lodge is located at mile-marker 3.5 on Route 41, 8 miles north of Salisbury, CT., and 3 miles west of Route 7 in the Sheffield, MA. town center. It is well-located in the Southern Berkshires, being a 2 1/2 hour drive from New York City, 3 hours from Boston, and 1 hour from Albany. Shopping, restaurants, attractions, ski resorts and antique shops are just a few-minute drive from the lodge. We have recently added luxurious soft and warm electric blankets on all beds.
