Also, home of the “Atchafalaya at Idlewild” golf course and the famous Louisiana Shrimp and Petroleum Festival. This building showcases the most detailed commercial architecture of our city. Located in the center of the downtown Historic District (building is listed on National Historic Registry). Adjacent to the newly renovated Morey Park. Totally restored to new condition, with emphasis placed on the many historic features. Located on the second floor via original restored cypress wood stairway. The main living area is bright and spacious with 6 large arched “antique wavy glass window panes” with beautiful views. Video of the history and ongoing restoration is available for viewing. Newly renovated outdoor patio adjacent to the building. Conveniently located (estimated hour car ride) from New Orleans/jazz heritage, Lafayette/Cajun country, and Baton Rouge. The Chitamachi Indian Museum and Casino are only twenty minutes away in Baldwin La. Perfect for day-tripping. Bicycles, kayak, and ping pong table are available for guest use. Guest access Parking available along the side and behind the building. Also extra parking in Public parking lot across the street. Other things to note Absolutely no pets. Absolutely no smoking. Not available for any parties/event rentals. Any special occasion/wedding weekend stays (where a photographer, family/friends gather) requires a $100.00 additional fee upon arrival. Renter is responsible for it's guest and any damage to the property by their guests. EARLY and LATE check-in/out fee of $50 each and we request a 24-hour notice, subject to availability
