Each bedroom features a 12" queen size memory foam bed that we promise will be one of the most comfortable beds that you've ever slept on; ceiling fan and portable standing fan. Extra people? Our house is naturally cooled by the Pacific trade winds that come across the open space yard from the east. Each room has vaulted ceilings, a ceiling fan and jalousie windows to enjoy the Hawaiian breeze. The bedrooms also have portable standing fans. • Remodeled in 2023, our fully-equipped kitchen features beautiful quartz countertops, professional stainless steel sink, LG gas range, stainless steel refrigerator, dishwasher, microwave and coffee bar area. We provide everything you need to prepare fantastic island meals: cookware, baking pans, roaster, plates, glassware, utensils, rice cooker, kitchen towels, and more. • We provide all bedding, bath towels, and beach towels. • Bedroom #1: queen bed with desk and expansive, open space views. Ensuite Bath #1 has double sinks and shower/tub. • Bedroom #2: queen bed with Hawaiian quilt bedding Ensuite Bath #2 features a walk-in shower • Bedroom #3: queen bed and desk with lots of natural light Bath #3 is just a step away with shower/tub • Media Room: If you have an extra little ones, we provide a 6" thick, memory foam floor futon (twin) and sofa with comfortable, down blend bench cushion. LANAI AND LANDSCAPING • Our quiet lanai backyard flows into expansive open space. There are also beautiful paths to stroll along the greenway. • Relax on our lanai featuring modern outdoor furniture and a gas BBQ. • Beautifully landscaped yard surrounded by orchids, two dozen palm trees and a variety of fruit trees: macadamia nut; Tahitian lime; Meyer lemon; avocado; mountain apple; banana; and tangerine. BEACH GEAR We've got you covered with beach towels; beach chairs; and beach umbrellas, and a cooler for your entire party. • You'll find beach towels in the living room basket. • Beach chairs and umbrellas, are located in the outside storage box. -Lift the lid and pull the rope at the same time. -Hook the rope loop on the hook to hold the lid open. -Feel free to use any of the water gear and beach toys in the beach box. (These vary as sometimes they don't get returned from the beach before we can restock.) •Please see our Guidebook for places to rent surfboards, SUPs, kayaks, etc. Costco has sturdy boogie boards. EATS & THINGS TO DO • Please see our listing's Guidebook. We also provide recommendations in our house binder. • Enjoy walking to the Princeville Shopping Center, two weekly farmer's marketS, and the Princeville Library. • Go right out our lanai and stroll along the golf course's beautiful walking paths. REMOTE WORKING We hope that our guests won't have to work too much when in Kauai, however, we provide comfortable work desks in two of the bedrooms. Complimentary WiFi. ISLAND LIFE • Kauai is a lush, tropical island and home to geckos, centipedes and different insects. We have regular exterior and interior pest control service but you may see our little friends on occasion. We recommend that guests to keep food sealed or in the refrigerator, and empty the trash daily. Insects are an unavoidable part of the environment, so we do not offer refunds because of the presence of insects. • Mahalo for rinsing off sandy feet and removing your shoes before entering the house. HOUSE MANUAL • Our trash pickup day is Wednesday. • Please read through arrival instructions and the House Manual at the house prior to arrival and feel free to let us know if you have any questions. Driveway parking for two vehicles. PRIME LOCATION Our house is conveniently located near where you want to go. • 10 minute drive to Hanalei Bay • 15 minutes to Kilauea • 30 minutes to Kapaa • 45 minutes from Lihue Airport and major stores such as Costco, Target, and Walmart • The Kamalani House is a short walk through the golf course or drive to the Princeville Shopping Center: Foodland grocery store, Lappert's Ice cream, yoga, post office, and a variety of restaurants. • Our Guidebook contains recommendations for restaurants and things to do. Driveway parking for two vehicles PRINCEVILLE HOA RULES • Parking is only allowed on the driveway. There is room for two cars. • No overnight street parking. • No parking on the grass. • No alcohol beverages in the community's Common Areas • Trash pickup is on Wednesday morning and the cans are to be put out no earlier than Tuesday at noon and put away no later than Wednesday evening. ISLAND LIFE • Aloha: please respect the local people, culture, and customs including removing your shoes before entering the house. • Kauai is a tropical location and home to a variety of insects. We have regular exterior and interior pest control service but you may see our little friends on occasion. Upon booking, guest acknowledges that they may see bugs, geckos, etc that are not reflective of the house's cleanliness or habitability.
