Arnolds Park Cottage - central-prime location

Arnold, as we call him, is a perfect location if you want to be in the center of all the action. We love Arnold because you can park your car and walk. This includes historical Arnolds Amusement Park; Preservation Plaza, numerous restaurants, beach, and lake. Arnold is located right off of Hwy 71 and is a block from West Lake Okoboji. Arnolds Park - .8 miles Preservation Plaza - .6 miles Arnolds Park restaurants and bars - .3 to .6 miles Okoboji Boat Store (boat rentals) - .8 miles The space The main floor is about 750 sq. feet, so it is cute and cozy. Two bedrooms, full bath, living area and kitchen on the main floor. The basement has sleeping for 4, the TV area, laundry and 3/4 bath. The outdoor patio has seating for 8 and a gas grill for your use. The location is excellent to park and walk and not drive the rest of your time there. Guest access You will have access to our entire home. We provide coffee, salt and pepper as well as a variety of other spices. For eating in, there are pots and pans, baking sheets and dishes. A grill is provided as well. I'll have ziplock baggies for leftovers. Previous guests may leave other condiments. Please note that the lower level bedroom with two full size beds does not have an egress window. Also, the door sizes to the basement bathroom are not a standard size and for now we use a curtain for one of the doors as we've not been able to find a door that fits that opening. Other things to note Lots of things to do, restaurants and attractions less than 1 mile walk from Arnold. Barefoot bar is 2.9 miles. Golf as close as 1.6 miles. Nature center is 2.6 miles. Trail system accessible steps from our front door. Parking: The City of Arnolds Park requires us to have 3 'horizontal' parking spaces for you. Thus, after booking, we will direct you to additional parking at our other property down the hill. The spots across the street belong to the red home. Street parking is allowed, only on the south side. Please avoid overnight parking in the City Hall lot to the east. Noise: This is a residential neighborhood, so please respect the neighbors with keeping the party noise down after 10 pm. Parties: Please note that we do not approve of taping or hanging anything from a wall, doorway or window. Previous renters have done this and paint has been damaged. So, we are cautious of approving bachelorette parties and birthday parties. If you plan to hang decorations, you should look for a different rental property for your party.
