Our guesthouse is Lafayette's best bargain! Good for families, groups & work teams. We often host groups needing long term lodging and a functional arrangement for privacy. Let us know your needs! We offer 5 dedicated parking spaces and can accommodate trucks and some trailers. Fabulous Kitchen & 4 private bedrooms have comfy beds. The large bathroom is on the hall and has a tankless hot water heater. Outdoor seating & gardens---back deck, firepit, gardens, privacy. fence in the rear. The space Our comfortable home works for a variety of travelers. If you plan on staying for a week or a month, you will receive a discounted rate. Our home has an open floor plan with a large kitchen, dining & lounge area. We have been Super Hosts for 11 years----We know how to make your group safe and comfortable. The entire property has ultra-high speed internet. There are two designated laptop workstations and two televisions with Roku & Netflix. It is easy for work groups to collaborate on projects around the big dining table and large bar. With our designated private office, working from "home" is easy and comfortable. The three spacious bedrooms offer comfortable beds and privacy. Our flex room, located off the living room can either serve as an office or bedroom. There are 7 beds and 2 big sofas. Even large groups are not crowded and no one has to sleep on the floor! Enjoy our art, vinyl record collection, games, books & toys---something for everyone! Our well-furnished kitchen allows easy meal prep. We have double ovens, a microwave, dishwasher, large refrigerator with ice maker. The dining area includes a dining table and bar seating. Of course our selection of cooking equipment includes cooking and serving items for large groups! Our historic home features a circular driveway and designated guest parking for 4-5 cars. We can accommodate work vans and truck/trailer rigs. Guests have told me that when booking they were concerned that our large home has only one large bathroom, but that after their stay, they knew it was not a problem. Our bath has a tankless hot water system, allowing for infinite hot water. No one has to have a cold shower because someone else showered first and used all the hot water! We even have a deep soaking tub---just don't let them go first. It is very luxurious, and they might not want to leave. We have mirrors and dressing areas in each bedroom, as well as places to hang towels. We make it easy to avoid congestion in the bathroom. We are located in the McComb Veazey historic neighborhood. Visiting the Birdhouse has a bit of nostalgic charm with all the modern amenities--- central heat and A/C, high speed internet, up-scale kitchen, seven very comfortable beds, gardens and outdoor art. We focus on your group's safety and comfort, so you can relax and enjoy your time in Lafayette. Our family has hosted more than 700 guests over the past 11 years. We are designated as Superhosts. We have staff that is dedicated to guest communications, housekeeping and maintenance. We have 7 guesthouses and can match you with the amenities that you desire. Please let us know your special needs. Guest access Guest have access to the entire home, front & rear gardens and off street parking for 5-6 cars. The circular driveway is an elegant entry with a seating area & garden. The dining area is off the kitchen overlooking the backyard and garden. The fenced back yard has a rear deck and a fire circle table. None of this is fancy, but is is comfortable for family and pets to be outside. There is a designated dog area. This wonderful space can be your home away-from-home for as long as you need it--- for work or play. All of our parking is off-street. The parking area is sufficiently large to accommodate a work van and truck-trailer rigs when your maximize your parking spaces. Please communicate with us if you have any special needs. Other things to note We have room darkening curtains, please advise us if you will be sleeping during the daytime. We allow guests to bring a dog. We charge a pet accommodation fee of $75.
