Description
New Orleans is the most fun and joyous city in the world, where there's always a reason to celebrate or have a parade, and my home and AirBnb guest room reflect that. It's an easy 30 minute (or less) walk to most places, including the French Quarter, Frenchmen Street, the New Orleans Museum of Art, City Park, art galleries and amazingly good food. I love this City, and I want my guests to do so too. I'm happy to help you find whatever you're looking for in music, food and entertainment. The space You'll have a private entrance is at the back of the house, where there is a back yard big enough to toss a frisbee around. There is a table with a solar illuminated umbrella and gravity chairs, as well as a double hammock, where you can hang out and chill when you're in the mood. When you enter the house you'll be in a clean, colorful utility room, furnished with a washer, dryer and laundry soap for guest use, a cafe table and chairs, a Keurig coffee maker and complimentary coffee and tea, a sink, a mini-refrigerator with complimentary water, a microwave and toaster, An interior door leads into your private bedroom, which is furnished with a double platform bed, dedicated work space with a table and chair, a variety of reading materials, a wall mounted 50” TV with Netflix, Amazon Prime, Disney and HBO, and walls that are decorated with music festival posters and canvass prints of my original photos of N’awlins musicians. High speed Internet and wi-fi are included. The bathroom is shared with the owner, but it is on a hallway accessible only from a door to your bedroom and a door to the owner's bedroom. To maximize privacy there are beads hanging from the door knobs, so when a person is going in or out of their room or the bathroom, you can hear it and avoid entering the area. It is extremely rare for me to ever see a guest in that area. Guest access On street parking is readily available. There are also three main bus lines nearby, and Uber and Lyft are available. During your stay The amount of our interaction is entirely up to my guests. I'm a very social person, and love people, music, food and art, which is why I live here. I want my guests to enjoy and love this City as much as I do, so I'm happy to socialize with my guests, give them insider tips on how to enjoy their stay, including the best places to eat, enjoy live music and do whatever their interests may dictate. As swing dancer, I also like to give my guests information on where they can get free or very inexpensive dance lessons followed by live bands and dancing. Other things to note There is no cigarette smoking allowed inside the house, but there are seats in the backyard, and steps, where a guest can smoke. Registration Details 21-RSTR-09644, 21-OSTR-15103
