Nestled within this serene landscape is a one-of-a-kind 1800s Acadian home, blending the charm of its storied past with the comforts of modern living. The space Nestled at the end of a secluded driveway, beyond the classic Milton lift bridge, lies this hidden gem—the historic Riverhouse (circa late 1800s). The property ensures privacy and tranquility, offering a serene retreat with one of a kind views of the Vermilion River from its elevated vantage point, framed by massive windows. As a bridgeside home, the gentle hum of cars passing over the bridge adds to the unique charm of this distinctive property. (Sound machine located at bedside incase bridge noise is an issue for sleeping) if you think bridge noise or steep driveway would be an issue, the Riverhouse may not be for you :) The Riverhouse combines old-world charm with modern comforts. Inside, you’ll find tall ceilings and solid oak floors, complemented by contemporary updates throughout. The large master bedroom features a spacious walk-in closet. Modern amenities include fast Wi-Fi and smart home technology, ensuring convenience without compromising the home’s historic character. Owners recommendation: Large windows have privacy glass so its recomended to lift up all blinds and curtains to fully immerse yourself in the natural surroundings. Guest access You have access to the entire home secluded on an acre of riverfront property. There is a partially fenced in area but pets can still get out so we would advise to bring a leash. Other things to note For the security of our guest and the safety of our home, we have security cameras outside of the house only and they do not record audio. To uphold environmentally responsible practices, we provide filtered water from the refrigerator dispenser instead of bottled water. Additionally, water and ice filters are changed regularly according to a scheduled maintenance plan. We charge an additional $20 per pet, per night. Please ensure pets are not allowed on the furniture and are kept in a crate if left unattended. Fire-pit: If firewood is available, we offer 5 logs complimentary. $10 for 10 logs thereafter. Please send message on Airbnb of how many bundles of 10 logs used so we can charge. This fee is used to help offset the cost of restocking firewood for our guests conviencne. Firewood should also be available at local gas stations and groceries stores nearby for a comparable price when in season. Trashcan pickup at the road is on Friday mornings.
