Our 2 BR lakehouse offers a comfortable experience, featuring a knotty pine kitchen, a new wood stove, outdoor fire pit, kayaks, comfy beds, and a fully-stocked coffee bar. Nestled among trees on the edge of Lake Ashmere, the lakehouse is the ideal setting for a central Berkshire getaway, especially during fall foliage season (peak is early Oct). Conveniently located, it's a 15-min drive to Pittsfield and 30 mins to Jiminy Peak or Tanglewood. The space The property, situated on approximately one-third of an acre, offers views of Lake Ashmere through the trees. Direct access to the lake provides a stunning perspective from the landing, ideal for enjoying sunsets. This two-story residence features two bedrooms on the upper level, with a living room, galley kitchen, dining area, and bathroom on the lower level. Fully renovated in 2021, the home is equipped with modern amenities including a security system, dimmable lighting, Wi-Fi, a smart TV, and a smart lock. The home's lake-facing orientation, complete with a large picture window and sliding glass doors, maximizes the scenic views. A spacious wrap-around deck, furnished with a patio set and gas grill, enhances the outdoor living experience. The property also includes a well-maintained front yard and a fire pit area. Direct access to the lake is easily accessible via a gentle slope. Guest access Guests are encouraged to explore the surrounding area via pedestrian access, bicycle, or personal vehicle. Parking is available in the driveway for a maximum of three vehicles. The lake is situated a brief one-minute walk from the property. Other things to note Lake Ashmere is in the upper middle part of the Berkshires and the lake is used for kayaking, jet skiing, fishing and swimming in summer, or maybe snowmobiling or ice fishing in winter. Our favorite time of year is fall and to witness the change of leaves in late September/early October just takes your breath away. We are close to most popular Berkshire attractions (Tanglewood, Mt. Greylock, Butternut, Berkshire East, Bousquet, Canterbury Farm, Stockbridge, Norman Rockwell Museum, MoCA, Clark Art Institute, Catamount Ski Area, Berkshire Botanical Gardens, Naumkeag, Hancock Shaker Village) and so much more! You would not be without things to do and see if you stayed here for a week!
