Or you can hike an easy trail up to the Makapu'u Lighthouse where you can whale watch or enjoy the incredible panoramic view. Along a 10-minute breathtaking coastal drive you can stop at Makapu'u and Sandy Beaches (watch or go boogie boarding or surfing), Blowhole, Hanauma Bay (snorkeling) and arrive in Hawaii Kai with great restaurants, shopping and all sorts of activities from boating, jet-skiing, para-sailing, golf, etc. Ten minutes in the other direction brings you to Kailua with all it’s shopping, restaurants, and activities. This is truly a special location. A 30-40 minute drive will take you to Pearl Harbor, Downtown, Waikiki and Ala Moana Shopping Center. A 45-minute drive will take you to the North Shore and Haleiwa.
