Cape Cod Rail Trail extension runs within 1.5 miles of our house. The Cape Cod Rail Trail is a continuous ribbon of asphalt that runs 25 miles to the east, all the way to the Cape Code Seashore National Park in Eastham. *Cottage floor plan diagrams have been included within the listing photos. Guests will have use of the entire house and grounds. Garage and part of the basement is locked off. Guest access We offer self-check-in with a smart lock front door code. There is parking for 4 cars in the driveway. Other things to note *Please note ~ the nightly rate drops with longer stays. Airbnb, as of May 2025, averages out the total price, including the one-time cleaning fee, across all nights. That can make short stays look more expensive. If you’re booking 3+ nights, the average nightly price drops quite a bit. Let me know if I can answer any questions. *High season bookings (Memorial Day to Labor Day). *Extended stays require weekly cleanings. We require a light cleaning every week in addition to the checkout cleaning. (Prices TBD) *Minimum age to rent is 25. Booking guest must stay for the duration of the reservation. I request that you confirm you have read and agree to our house rules. A copy of ID will be required if requested. *Please No Smoking or Vaping in the cottage. *No Parties or Events, or unauthorized guests/pets. *Service animals must be disclosed prior to booking. *Dogs are considered, please inquire for approval prior to booking. Due to allergies and safety concerns, we prefer small hypo-allergenic, non-shedding pets. $30 per night fee. *Additional penalty fees will be requested for smoking inside the home and/or extra cleaning/repairs when necessary. This directly impacts our cleaning/prep time between guests. *Swimming, fishing and small boating are allowed on Long Pond. Kayaks and a SUP are provided for your use. The property is surrounded by water and does attract waterfowl so droppings may be found on the grass. Please help to discourage geese on the lawn during your stay (do not feed them). We have a service for grass cutting and maintenance. *Most Cape Cod freshwater ponds are Town tested regularly for cyanobacteria blooms during summer months. Advisories are posted at public access points when necessary. *Please remember this is our second home; be respectful of our property and our neighbors. This is a quiet lakeside neighborhood.
