Description
You'll love this unique Glacier National Park A-frame basecamp! Located just 7 miles from the western entrance of the Going-to-the-sun Road, this brand new cabin features a wonderful rustic feel with modern touches. Completely finished in locally-sourced aspen, you'll cherish the mornings waking up with coffee in the handmade Adirondack chairs facing the rising sun shining on Teakettle Mountain. Escape the elements on the covered porch, or enjoy the rain from a seat in the hot tub! The space The A-Frame is 18'x24' with a 6' covered porch. Finish work is now complete and we are waiting for the furniture to arrive! we will continue to post photos as we go! Parking is shared with other guests and about a 50 meter meandering walk from the cabin- please come prepared! Carts are provided for your convenience. Enter the cabin from the porch, open the glass doors to the interior beauty of locally-sourced aspen. The kitchen is well-equipped for all meals and cooking, with built-in cooktop, microwave, toaster, and under-the-counter refrigerator. We provide spices, oil, utensils, cookware, plates, bowls and drinking receptacles. The living room is spacious and inviting with a large convertible sofa bed (this cabin sleeps a tight 4). A steep ladder leads to a sleeping loft where you can curl up on a wonderfully cozy queen size memory foam mattress and re-energize for your next adventure. Downstairs, there is a small, full bathroom with everything you need to refresh after an adventure in the park. Wi-fi: Following numerous comments, we have improved our Wi-fi for 2025! Still, this is rural Montana, so don't expect blazing speeds. It clocks in around 20 mbps- fast enough to stream with minor difficulties, but with a bit of a lag for video calls. Plan accordingly! Outside is a full-acre yard shared with other guests in the house (ElkView) and neighboring A-Frame (Flattop Mountain). In addition to your own private covered porch and gas grill, there is a shared fire pit and picnic table area, a swing set and a sandbox. Tucked behind Flattop and next to the cabin is a 6-person hot tub shared with guests at Flattop. Plan on an evening dip to enjoy the stars! As it is a shared space and a 120 volt tub (slower to warm after use), communication with other guests is recommended. Don't forget to keep your eyes and ears open for elk- the animals from the ranch next door make frequent visits to the area faced by the cabin. Guest access Parking is in a shared area with other guests, 50 meters from the cabin.
