Welcome to The Cow Tipper! Near the heart of Downtown Des Moines sits this historic, fully remodeled, 4 bed & 2 bath home that can sleep up to 10 guests comfortably. Kitchen: fully updated with most all cooking utensils, salt/pepper/cooking spray, baking dishes, pots and pans, toaster, blender, and a coffee maker (with coffee packs, teabags, creamer and sweetener to get you started). Dining: off of the kitchen you will find a dining room with a table for six. We also offer additional seating at the bar for three more guests. Space-saver highchair available in the laundry closet, if needed. Living Room: when you walk in the front door, you will be greeted by a cozy family room with a queen sized pull-out-couch. The living room also offers an office space (Desk and chair) electric fireplace and a flat-screen smart tv to allow you to login to all your favorite streaming services during your stay. Bedrooms: upstairs you will find three bedrooms and a full bathroom. All three of the bedrooms are equipped with queen beds. All bedrooms have memory foam mattresses, dressers, smart TVs, and nightstands with smart lamps to easily charge your phone at night. Pack-N-Play available in a bedroom closet if needed. Bathrooms: our home offers two full bathrooms. One bathroom is upstairs with the bedrooms, and the other is on the main level. Each bathroom is fully stocked with fresh towels (10 sets total in the house), shampoo, conditioner, and body wash. Patio: off the back of the house you will have full access to a partially fenced in private backyard, a 6 person spa, jungle gym for the kids to play, a propane grill, and a fire-pit (wood not provided). Perfect for those family BBQs. Game Room: on the main level, located inside of the 4th bedroom with a queen sleeper sofa. 32in smart tv with a Wii and variety of games. Simpsons four person arcade game. Plenty to keep the kids entertained for hours! Office: a full desk and office chair is located off of the living room, near the entrance of the house. Laundry: first floor washer and dryer available with enough detergent to start off your stay. Ironing board and iron are also accessible in the laundry closet for your convenience. Parking: Free, off-street parking in the driveway. The garage will not be accessible. All areas of the main floor and upper-level of the house are open for guests to use. The basement and garage however, are restricted for housekeeping supplies and will remain locked during your stay. We do live local. However, our goal is to provide help when needed, while also giving you the privacy you seek. We are available via message or phone, and will have assistance to you if there are any issues. Five minute drive to the Iowa Events Center, Wells Fargo Arena, and all major Hospitals. Also, just a few minutes from the Downtown Farmers Market (Saturday mornings May-October) and the Science Center of Iowa. Additionally, you will find yourself close to all of our annual events, such as: World Food and Music Festival, The Des Moines Art Festival, and of course the Iowa State Fair. Within walking distance of many shops, restaurants and bars (two blocks from the Ingersoll District) A quick ten minute drive to the Des Moines Airport and to the Blank Park Zoo TAXI: Uber, Lyft and Taxi service available throughout the Des Moines Metro AIRPORT: The Des Moines International Airport is located less than 10 minutes straight south. BUS: The Des Moines DART bus service has stop points all around the metro. The closest Bus Stop is just a 2 minute walk away at Woodland Ave and 24th St BIKE: Des Moines BCycle offers rental bikes all around the great city. Closest pick up/drop off points are within a half mile walk on Ingersoll Ave PARKING: The city has metered parking and garages throughout. Cost ranges from $.25-$1.25 per hour. Meters charge from 9am-9pm M-F and are free on Sunday Our home has three (3) exterior security cameras. One is on the E side facing the side/street, one is on the W side facing the driveway/street, and one is a doorbell camera. Our goal is to keep the house safe, while also respecting your privacy. For your stay, we provide a starter kit for essentials and toiletries: - Five (5) sets of towels/washcloths in each bathroom - Three additional rolls of toilet paper in each bathroom - Shampoo/conditioner/body wash dispensers in each shower - First couple days supply of coffee - First few loads of dishwasher and clothes washer detergent pods PLEASE NOTE: After requesting your reservation, you will receive a notification to complete our Rental Agreement, confirming the terms and conditions of your stay at The Cow Tipper, which you will be able to execute digitally.
