You'll find handcrafted furniture and art made by local New Orleans artisans and a lush private backyard complete with a hot tub and outdoor shower. The house also has access to a shared heated pool. There is a fence gate directly from the backyard to the outdoor pool area. For the security of our guests, we have external recording devices (security cameras) located by the front door and back door of the house. These are exterior only. Per City of New Orleans regulations, this property is equipped with a noise monitoring device. It does NOT record actual sounds or conversations, it simply monitors the noise level (measured in decibels) . This device also monitors occupancy and cigarette smoke. Swim at your own risk. Monday and Thursday morning hot tub cleaning: On Monday and Thursday mornings (usually between 8am-11am) someone comes to check the chemicals in the hot tub and water the plants. Swim at your own risk. IDs will be requested for verification after booking. Hurricane policy: If the National Hurricane Center issues a Hurricane Warning for New Orleans covering your check-in date or any night of your stay, you may reschedule without any change fees, and any nights you don't stay can be moved to new dates within 12 months (rate differences may apply). If the city orders a mandatory evacuation, or the home can't be used, those nights are refunded in full. Watches, tropical storm warnings and forecasts don't qualify, so we recommend travel insurance, bought before a storm is named. The house is centrally located between the French Quarter and Garden District. There are coffee shops, restaurants, and bars within walking distance and you’ll be a five minute walk from the famous St. Charles Streetcar which you can take to both the French Quarter and Garden District. Streetcar: We're a 5 min walk to the St. Charles Streetcar which goes to both the French Quarter and Garden District. Driving & Walking Times: Downtown/Warehouse District: 3 minute drive French Quarter: 6 minute drive Garden District: 5 minute drive Superdome: 4 min drive Parking: There's free on-street parking and you’re allowed to park overnight.
