The space Generous in scale and proportion, Odonata House has dining, entertaining, a bbq deck and lounging spaces for wonderful gatherings of family and friends indoors and out without losing comfort or intimacy. You will find places to laugh and enjoy your group, as well as lounges, cosy corners and garden nooks to retreat with a book, a jigsaw, or some bubble bath and a glass of wine! If you're staying in, light the fire in The Great Room and tune into SONOS sound system throughout. Or perhaps a long soak in the spa, followed by a large screen movie in the basement is more your speed? Odonata has six generous rooms, four with king beds plus a twin room (which can be converted to a king bed on request) and a cinema room with twin beds (which can also be converted to king). There are two large living areas an open plan kitchen, entertaining and dining area, several office nooks and a library. there is also a large laundry and wet room for storing your golf and hiking gear. Centrally hydronic heated and incredibly comfortable in winter, ceiling fans, raked ceilings and a high mountain breeze in summer. Autumn and spring in the Blue Mountains speak for themselves and our garden and birdlife will not disappoint! Our ethical procurement policy means that you will find organic linens, Australian made Mini Jumbuck sheep's wool doonas, German crystal glassware and high quality crockery sourced from modern slavery free manufacturers in democratic countries (apart from one or two essential appliances... we tried!! but we are ALWAYS improving so please chime in with your recommendations). We support local producers and would love you to keep your food scraps for our compost! We choose diamond energy as the best sustainable energy provider. Guest access An easy 75 minutes from Sydney, Odonata is as much a place to retreat as it is a base from which to explore. Minutes walk or ride from Leura Mall, a five minute drive to Katoomba, Wentworth Falls and Leura Golf Clubs. You can cooee to any of the Blue Mountain's most famous bushwalks from our doorstep, or drive a little further to fantastic mountain bike trails, lookouts, wine tasting and Open Gardens. There is plenty of parking onsite and a lockable pen for bikes as well as inside storage for golf gear. Parking in Leura Mall can get busy on weekends, but you'll always find a spot within a block or two. Other things to note We welcome corporate retreats and are well equiped for cooking classes, yoga and wellness escapes. There is a massage table onsite and contacts can be provided for in home treatments.
