The space Welcome to our family's most treasured getaway on Head Lake in the beautiful Haliburton Highlands. This peaceful, private property sits on nearly an acre of beautifully treed and landscaped land, offering the perfect balance of quiet relaxation and close proximity to town. Enjoy a spa-like experience with our cedar-lined outdoor sauna and hot tub-ideal for unwinding under the stars. The property features a sandy beach, a spacious dock for swimming or boating, and beautifully maintained gardens throughout. There's also a large sports pad perfect for basketball, badminton, and pickle ball. Guests have access to adult and kids kayaks, a paddle board and a peddle boat for endless fun on the water. A screened in porch offers a cozy spot to relax and watch the local wildlife, and the lakeside fire pit is perfect for evenings by the water. Inside, the home features a bright open concept kitchen, dining and living space, fully stocked with everything you need, along with comfortable beds throughout. The larger bar and entertainment area includes a pool table, darts, Bluetooth sound system, 55" smart tv. There is also a microphone for singing along to your favourite music with Apple Music or Spotify. The home comfortably accommodates 12 guests across six king bedrooms, including three master suites. There are 3 bedrooms on the main level and 3 on the lower level including a play room and a workout room. The lake is quiet and ideal for relaxing, with mainly fishing boats and pontoons passing by. You may even catch seaplanes taking off and landing right infant of the property. Fishing enthusiasts will love the excellent bass, walleye and muskie fishing -often right off the end of the dock. We are a short walk to Glebe Park and the Sculpture forest, along with hiking, biking and walking trails. There are several golf courses close by, Sir Sam's ski hill, access to snowmobile trails and the marina is a quick trip up the lake for boat rentals. We heat our home with propane furnace and also have central air for your comfort year round. Children and infants are welcome. We provide a safety gate for the stairs, two pack and plays, and a highchair if needed. Please note that we do not have outlet covers or cabinet locks. Adult supervision is required at all times when children are using the sauna, hot tub or swimming at the lake. Guests are asked to treat the home with care and leave it in the condition it was found in. Please take all personal belongings upon departure, as we are not responsible for items left on the property. Be sure to securely latch the lock on the garbage bin to prevent wildlife from accessing them, and do not leave garbage outside uncovered. Due to the natural surroundings, you may encounter local wildlife-this is part of the cottage experience, so please be mindful. Use of the property and all amenities is at your own risk. The owners are not responsible for injuries or accidents during your stay. During the winter months, snow accumulation can be significant and surfaces such as driveways and walkways may be slippery. Guests assume responsibility for their safety and travel conditions. We strongly recommend a 4x4 or AWD vehicle during the winter months. Additional Notes: Guests must be 25 years old to book this property.
