Starry Starry Night - Nova StarDome

Our striking geodesic StarDome is situated on a secluded koppie in one of the most isolated parts of the reserve. It boasts spectacular mountain and valley views by day, and Milky Way views at night through the skylight above your bed. The space The striking geodesic StarDome bedroom makes quite a statement, and makes for a wonderfully unique sleeping experience. With a large bay window and overhead skylight, it is flooded with natural light and boast the same unforgettable views as the rest of the cottage during the day. At night, enjoy being tucked into crisp linen on your antique brass bed while gazing up at the skylight to watch the Milky Way. Guest access Due to the secluded location of the Nova StarDome, there are numerous steps up to the communal pool, KolKol, and herb garden and some steep walkways that need to be navigated. Guests can also drive along the main access road to the top (5 - 10mins drive) should they not wish to walk up the hillside path. To get the maximum enjoyment out of Nova, guests need to be reasonably fit, active and agile. Alternatively they need to be comfortable driving to the upper common areas, or simply relaxing at the StarDome and enjoying the views. Other things to note A communal area is shared between the three cottages, a short 5min walk away up the hillside trail. Here a wood-fired KolKol hot tub, cold pool and fire pit makes for a wonderful sundowner spot. Although this area is communal, since we only have 3 cottages we are able to book a private afternoon/evening for you to go to the Kolkol, so you can enjoy this experience without being disturbed. Bookings can be made according to availability. If you book all three cottages for a group, you have exclusive use of whole lodge and the KolKol hot tub. You can also have a wander through the herb garden, and even forage for some tasty treats for your cooking - all freshly picked. Several walking trails through the reserve of different length and difficulty ensure there is something for everybody.
