Villa Llop
The stunning location of this beautifully built and decorated villa is just one of the many reasons you might choose Villa Llop for your next villa holiday. Nestled on a wooded hillside, magnificent views can be had from the mature well-tended gardens, taking in the open Pollensa countryside backed by the spectacular mountains. However secluded and private this lovely villa feels, the benefit of Villa Llop is that the vibrant shops, restaurants, and galleries of Pollenca Old Town are a very short drive away, or you could perhaps take a pleasant bike ride for a change of pace. Fruit trees line the sweeping drive which leads to the ample parking. The property itself is set over two further levels, whilst steps from the parking area lead to the annex and a garden. The combination of the house and annex offers well laid out accommodation, and this flexibility and space makes Villa Llop ideal for friends or families holidaying together. The annex provides two areas of accommodation, joined by an interconnecting door which can be opened between the two halves, or locked for privacy if preferred. The first section houses a restful twin bedroom with en suite walk-in shower room. From here, two steps take you to the well furnished living area consisting of lounge, dining and kitchen areas. Here you will find an oven & hob and a fridge-freezer. The second portion of the annex has a double bedroom with a separate shower room. Alongside this, there is a comfortably furnished living-dining space. Further steps lead from this level up to the main house of Villa Llop. You will enter into a welcoming and spacious living-dining area with it’s splendid views of the surrounding countryside in all directions. Simply and tastefully furnished, this provides a lovely area for your party to dine and relax, and has direct access to the furnished terrace. A sliding door can separate off the large, modern and well-equipped kitchen, which has a breakfast bar and large doors opening to the terrace and poolside area. You will find yourselves well-catered for with a built-in oven & hob, microwave, fridge-freezer, dishwasher and washing machine to make light of any holiday chores. If you prefer an al fresco supper, there is also a built in Bbq on the terrace. Both of the bedrooms - one double and one twin - are generously sized, and the large bathroom has a sunken bath and separate walk-in shower. The cobbled terrace outside the living rooms adjoins the raised-level swimming pool, which has ladder entry steps. The views through the olive trees take in the beautiful rural setting of Villa Llop. Another star feature is the lovely sauna that can be found close to the pool, and there is even a table tennis table for some friendly holiday matches! The villa and pool is for your private use only as well as the garden. Bed linen & towels are provided as well as pool towels. The cleaner will come in during your stay & change them, depending on how many days you are staying. All of this is included in the price. Freelance Villas provides a Digital Guide Book, which tells you all about the important things ie. WiFi codes, hot water systems, where to take your rubbish & how things generally work in the villa. Plus, you will find further details about places to go, beach maps and eating out guide. A local contact is provided to you for any issues you may experience whilst in the villa, and we at Freelance Villas can be contacted via AirBnB messaging. The old road, through the beautiful Vall de Pollenca winds some 6 miles between the Pollenca Hills and the towering Tramuntana Mountains, connecting Campanet to the picturesque Old Town of Pollenca. These days the road, now surpassed by the faster motorway, is used more by cyclist than vehicular traffic. Singled out for its beauty by the rich and famous the hillsides are discreetly scattered with rambling top notch villas, amongst which our Pollenca Villas are tucked away enjoying this unsurpassed location from their more modest accommodation. Pollenca has learned to accept and adapt to tourism without losing its soul and where, these days, at the vibrant Sunday morning market spilling out over the Placa Major, locals and tourists alike mingle between the wide varieties of stalls. Wandering through the narrow cobbled streets you will find many lovely old churches plus numerous small art galleries and handicraft shops, the perfect trip out from a Pollenca villa holiday A pause for coffee and a pastry is recommended before climbing the tree lined Calvari steps – there are 365 of them, one for every day of the year – amply rewarded at the summit by panoramic views across to the northernmost tip of the island from the Calvari church! If you are here during Easter, then you will be lucky enough to witness the moving procession on Good Friday, when a figure of Christ is removed from a cross and carried down the steps by torchlight. The months of August and September have much to offer music lovers as Pollenca hosts its annual classical music festival with many concerts and at any time of year, bon viveurs will find a number of outstanding restaurants as well as small tapas bars tucked away behind the impressive central square. Outside the town the rolling countryside is excellent for walkers and for a day by the sea, Puerto Pollenca with its lovely beaches, is only a 5-minute drive away. Nearby there’s a good but hilly 9-hole golf course. A car is needed to explore this beautiful area.
