Please wash your dishes and oput them away directly after your meal prep. Please treat my things asif they are your own. Your room will be cleaned weekly, and your bedding is exchanged every 14 days. Other things to note Welcome to 145 Rochester, a place where you can live and get along with other adult housemates/tenants. We hope you enjoy your stay here and respect the following rules: - This is a smoke-free and drug-free house. Please do not smoke or use drugs inside or outside the premises. - The house is not pet or child proofed. Please do not bring any pets or children to the house without prior permission from Naomi (house manager). - We share responsibility for the safety and security of the house and fellow housemates. Please lock up every night and secure your valuables and lock your room when you are out. - Please clean up your dishes and wipe surfaces and floor after using the kitchen or bathroom. Don't leave it for tomorrow! This will keep the house clean and hygienic for everyone. - Please use the correct key for each lock as jamming them will damage the locks and keys. If this happens, you will have to pay for the replacement of the keys for everyone. - Please report any breakages or damage as soon as possible so that we can arrange for the repair or replacement. If you don't report it, you will be charged for the damage. - Your fees include water usage up to the daily municipal rate per person. Please save water and avoid excessive usage. If you use more than the limit, you and your housemates will have to pay for the extra cost and penalties. - The housekeeper will clean the house and bedrooms weekly. Please cooperate with her and keep your personal belongings in order. - Please be considerate of your housemates and do not bring any one-night stand/ casual sexual encounter to the house. This is for the safety and comfort of everyone. - If you want to bring a known friend to the house to visit, please follow the specific protocols that have been communicated to you. Please inform your housemates and Naomi in advance and get their consent. - If you want to have a visitor stay over, please request permission from Naomi in writing and post it on the house group. You can only do this after getting written permission from Naomi. Any deviation from this will disqualify you from your tenure. - A fee of €14 or R220 per night will be charged for such overnight visitors staying for more than one night. This fee is payable in advance. - You are fully responsible for any damages or losses your visitors may cause. Please make sure they follow the house rules and respect the housemates. - Due to the diverse collection of individuals - each with their own needs; group social events on the property are not allowed. Observatory has many and varied restaurants and bars which you can make use of for such occasions as is the greater Cape Town metropole. - All food preparation and storage to be done in the kitchen. Not in the bedrooms. Fridge and cupboard space for food will be provided to each housemate in the kitchen. - Kindly voice your needs and any problems so that we may have the opportunity to respond.
