Historic Sicilian charming residence of the 1700s with rooms and accommodations furnished in Sicilian period style, surrounded by vineyards, olive trees and citrus groves in the fascinating territory of Vittoria, famous for its wines and Art Nouveau style, just 5 minutes from the beaches of Scoglitti, a popular seaside resort in the province of Ragusa. Centuries-old cypress trees mark the way to the main entrance of the farmhouse, where there is an outdoor courtyard and a large parking lot. The space The strategic location of Casale Rocca Fiorita offers tourists the opportunity to reach historical and cultural sites of great importance: Vittoria, famous for its wines, theater and Art Nouveau buildings; the archaeological museum of Gela; the baroque cities of Ragusa Ibla, Modica and Scicli, which are UNESCO heritage sites; the Valley of the Temples of Agrigento, Caltagirone and its precious ceramics, the Roman Villa of Casalea Piazza Armerina famous for its mosaics. Just a 10-minute drive away, you can reach the beaches of Scoglitti and Marina di Acate, characterized by wonderful dunes, where the unique Hiblean broom grows spontaneously. About 60 years ago, these beaches were the scene of the Allied landings, which during the Second World War, stormed the "mute" and "silent" German watchtowers to conquer Sicily. For nature and bird watching enthusiasts, don't miss an excursion to the Biviere di Gela (just 10 minutes away), a nature reserve and wetland frequented by many species of migratory birds. Guest access The majestic entrance (150 square meters), an ancient trappeto, preserves pieces and collections of rare antiques, Persian carpets, a precious collection of plows, decorated cowbells, a magnificent library composed of ancient texts for the use of guests, a relaxation area with a fireplace and a large 20th-century table where breakfast is served with typical and absolutely organic products. Also from the main entrance, you can access another room that characterizes the farmhouse: the Palmento. Here you will find a large press from the early 1900s where the marc was pressed and 4 grape collection tanks used to store objects of Sicilian peasant life of the past, as well as a cellar with dated wines.
