Built in 1925, our house is one of the few in Rovaniemi that survived the Lapland War, and the ONLY privately owned home still standing from that era. Lovingly restored over the past 10 years, this historic gem offers a cozy guesthouse experience, where you can feel at home. The space This charming apartment offers everything you need for a relaxing stay in the heart of Lapland. Located on the second floor, the apartment is ideal for one or two guests. While the space is fully private, it shares a bathroom and shower with one other same size apartment on the same floor. Inside, you’ll find a cozy living area with newly updated furniture and a television for the upcoming season, perfect for unwinding after a day of exploring. All the essentials you need for a comfortable stay are provided. A locally-owned, family-run Mother & Son Duo warmly welcomes you to Pohjola Light Guesthouse, where care and comfort come together to create a memorable stay. Pohjola Light Guesthouse is now open for bookings for the 2024/2025 season. Guest access Guests will have full access to the apartment located on the second floor. While the bathroom and shower are shared with one other same size apartment on the same floor, the rest of the space is entirely private. Additionally, guests can enjoy the inner courtyard, a fun and safe space for snow play and outdoor activities. Other things to note We kindly ask you to treat our historic home with care, as it is protected by the European Union of Cultural Heritage to preserve its legacy. To maintain the unique atmosphere of this space, we have a strict no-smoking policy, and the use of strong spices is prohibited, as the delicate linen fabrics on the walls cannot withstand strong odors.
